He was probably Man of the Match, but wasn't enough to win the game for them.

I'm not getting Caragher slating him for 2nd goal, yes he's a shit keeper but shot going wide and took massive deflection after he'd already dived.

Say what you want about them but that's another trophy for the Glazers

Disappointed for my Geordie friends and family but despite the effort levels they simply weren't good enough.

Very professional from Man Utd. Glad they managed to win it fairly this time.

Because he never does anything with the ball. He runs, turns a man, turns again, turns again, loses ball. Repeat.

At last. The contrast between this and the grossest of feelings after the Europa League shootout loss to Villarreal... May this finally be a springboard towards good days again. Well done lads.

    BLNT Newcastle.

Shame United win something for the first time in 6 years, but all things considered, it's probably the lesser of two evils. Literally given that Newcastle were the alternative.

This. Along with Ole after the first 3-4 months. Wouldn't read too much into it yet.

I've met and talked to him mate ,he doesn't take banter too well ,alright doling it out but not so happy to take it. Which is a bit of a deficiency in your armory if you're a Scouser. I think it's all down to the sheltered lives of footballers and how they believe whats funny in the dressing room translates as equally as funny on the streets ......It doesn't and sometimes they don't like the honesty ,funny as f*ck as it maybe.

Doesn't surprise me. Something about him and Gerrard never quite rang true to me. I've never liked either of them, despite what they've done for the club.
