I thought Newcastle were dreadful tactically. I would be extremely pissed off with that second half display in particular if I was a Newcastle fan. Absolutely no speculation going forward, so safe and so predictable

They've been like that for a long time but have had a solid defence to fall back on. It's not clicking at all up front, especially now Almiron is off the boil.

I remember the Bournemouth fans hammering Howe towards the end of his time there for never having a Plan B.

He does seem to have progressed as a manager since then but Newcastle are becoming quite predictable. They were really poor at our place a few weeks back.

They'll just spend a few bob though which is the difference.

Oddly at Bournemouth I think Howe's team could score but not defend for toffee.

Seems to be the other way around with Newcastle.

Did Martin Dubravka get a winners medal?

    ;)

    There's a video too.

“I’m a Newcastle fan because my uncle Dave is a Geordie and when I was growing up in Chester, he used to take me every Christmas to the Man U/Newcastle game," he said. "That was in the era of Kevin Keegan, Alan Shearer, and the heady days when we got almost to the top of the table. It has its ups and downs being a Newcastle fan but it all stems from uncle Dave.”

Ah yes, always to the traditional Christmas Man Utd vs Newcastle game, of course!

I'm assuming he means this one game:

For some reason Poch sees Chilly as a winger…. Kept playing him there at the start of the season. Both those team selections are quite defensive. Can’t drop Gallagher as he is the only one who presses higher up the pitch. We need to win the ball back in there half and hopefully score. I can’t see us breaking them down with 10 men behind the ball, we just don’t have the players.
