We are getting far too many injuries. We haven't had our three strikers all fit at the one time in over a year, that's just not right.
Does anyone think Bain deserves a shot in goal, not saying Gordan has done anything wrong in particular although he keeps kicking it out the park because he thinks Forrest is ten foot six but I like Bain and thinks with a run in the team he can be an excellent keeper.
I agree. He looks very comfortable passing the ball out and generally seems a safe pair of hands. I don’t feel I need to worry about him whenever he plays.
There is zero excuse for not getting a replacement in now, time to flog him to the highest bidder. Rodgers interview coming up shortly so will be interesting to see what he says.
We've ended interest in McKenna and Boyata hasn't travelled due to injury according to Rodgers. Chris McLaughlinVerified account@BBCchrismclaug 5m5 minutes ago Rodgers also said Boyata had clear the air talks with himself and captain Scott Brown. Wouldn’t say if the player will still be at club by end of the window. #Celtic
See to tell the truth I was starting to warm to the idea as long as we brought in another experienced one. He would provide that solidness and a win at all costs attitude to cross balls etc, to start with I was against it but then had settled for Ajer, new cb (or Boyata) and McKenna (who is left sided)
I liked the idea of Bruma, but has a poor injury record. We can’t afford to go down that road again. Here’s hoping McKenna wasn’t our top target.
Brendan Rodgers on Boyata: ‘Dedryck has trained the last few days with the squad but deems himself not ready physically to participate in the game.’ I would love to have heard what Scott Brown said to him, I have a feeling he wouldn't have been as diplomatic as Rodgers. He should be out the door before we arrive back from Lithuania.
If you publicly slaughter him and basically disown him you are depreciating an asset. I'd imagine what's went on behind the scenes is totally different to what is being said behind closed doors.
On another note, watching the AEK game and despite the fact they are 2-1 up away from home they are not a very good team. Backed them to get beat and if Vidi hadn't went down to 10 men early doors they would be beaten here.
I honestly thought Rosenborg where a beter side who on balance of play caused us more problems. We were the architects on our own downfall. Watching the Villa and Brentford game, Villa just equalise to make it 2-2 but almost lost the game to a far inferior side who have been clinical when presented with a chance, it happens in football, we just choose to let it happen over two games.
Edouard back in training early next week. Hopefully see him and Dembele get some minutes upfront together against Rangers, I don't care how much their defence has improved no team domestically can come close to handling those two.
