OK, are we talking about CL Group game 2-1 win?? Celtic's triumphs of the last few years is great. CLAP CLAP CLAP!!! You havent had Rangers challenging you so you for years, you had it all to yourselves! Scotland needs a healthy competitive (& wider) elite football championship- good for the fans, good for TV, good for the national team. Not just dominated by some clubs just buy the footballing talent & hence buying the premierships. So the reason Celtic didnt score in 6 games earlier this year is because the opposition defence is better?? And is that the justification for scoring less goals as the competition was stronger??
So much bollocks being spoken about in terms of reaction to Boyata yesterday. If anyone wants to boo a player who was posted missing for us at our time of need in Europe then I have no issue with that. Personally I don’t boo our players, but I absolutely understand those who did and I would still prefer that he is out of the club come the end of this transfer window.
Celtic: Moussa Dembele in talks as Lyon admit interest By Brian McLauchlin BBC Scotland 2 hours ago | Celtic Moussa Dembele missed training on Wednesday as Lyon confirmed their interest in the Celtic striker. The French club's president Jean-Michel Aulas revealed they "got in touch" with the 22-year-old and he is "interested" in moving to his homeland. Dembele was at Celtic Park with his representatives on Thursday to discuss his future with chairman Peter Lawwell. And manager Brendan Rodgers conceded there is "big interest", with Marseille also reportedly keen. "There's a lot going on with Moussa at the moment," said Rodgers before Thursday's Europa League play-off second leg against Lithuania's Suduva. "Moussa is not a player we want to lose. He's a phenomenal talent but he's not going to be here forever. Like a lot of the European boys, they develop at a great club and look to move on. "We don't want to lose a top-class player without having a replacement. It's the 'what-if?' scenario. You always have to be prepared for that. It's not an ideal situation, with a few days to go." Rodgers said Dembele was "available" for Thursday's tie, which is poised at 1-1, but planned to speak to the player later on Wednesday. Is Gerrard an Old Firm game-changer? Or can Rodgers revive Celtic? Gossip: Celtic eye Leicester defender Scotland's transfer window closes on Friday, 31 August. Rodgers said he is still looking to "freshen up the squad" and that work was going on to do so. He reiterated that his interest in Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna had ended - "that is closed, no more to add" - and said he is looking to lose some players before Friday. "The squad is way too big, it is as simple as that," he said. Rodgers also confirmed his other French striker, Odsonne Edouard, was back in training after recovering from a knock. "He's looking very good," the manager added. "He's been a miss for us. He's a big talent and it's great to have him back." Celtic: Moussa Dembele in talks as Lyon admit interest
I'm not convinced that going to France was part of the longer term plan for Dembele. I don't want to sell him but thats more to do with the timing. We are going to go into the most hectic part of the season with only 2 strikers who have both had issues with injury (as has Dembele tbf) or we will end up loaning a donkey like Long. This window has been another embarrassment for us so far and although some will say there is still time, it's rare we actually do business late on. Surely now is the time that as a club and a business we have to look at the whole operation and asking exactly what the current lots priorities are. From what I can see, they are more intent on turning Celtic Park into a multi themed sports/entertainment arena that they are bothered about how good the team is. Hotels, statues and lights just don't cut it with me and I really think that it's time we have fresh faces in the boardroom to take us in another direction that puts on field success at the top of it's list.
I think L'Equip is where the number is coming from.. Plenty French twitter users branding that number around.

I don’t think any of us would have a problem with Dembele leaving provided that there was a replacement striker and at least two or three quality players coming in for problem positions. At this moment I’m none too confident that this will happen. In fact I’m starting to wonder if this is the beginning of our ‘banter years’.
Possibly. With this extra cash coming in, I would expect us to be bringing in a couple quality players tomorrow and a striker on loan, I would like a real battering ram of a striker as a different option, someone who is good in the air and puts himself about.
He was at Madrid the year before and they had a 35% sell on fee so they got him for a fair bit less. I admire your optimism about us bringing in players but I'm not so sure. In truth we need to CB's, a RB a CM and now a striker. Can't see us filling that in and BR has also said we need to offload players as the squad is too big. Not sure which areas he means we are overloaded in unless it's wide midfielders and if thats the case, why did we bring 2 in.
