Equalled the record for the slowest ton but without that snail’s pace they probably would have folded? He also carried his bat in the previous game but then only managed 85 n.o. Wouldn’t get in the Warwickshire 2nd X1 with that strike rate..

I think the Glamorgan v Middlesex game must be being played on the M25. Nearly 1100 runs scored and only eight wickets to fall.

Just read the report, in the first paragraph the words benign and docile were used to describe the pitch. Tough couple of days for the bowlers with a wicket falling every 35 overs. I reckon I could score a few runs on that strip and I’m shit at batting..

The Punjab Kings almost came back from nowhere to beat Hyderabad but just fell short by 2 runs.

Shows a game is never over till the end in this.

Convincing win today. Bumrah is just gold dust. Goes for just above 5 RPO & takes 5 wickets when everyone else in both sides was tonked.

Topley took a brilliant catch of Rohit.

That man Shashank again almost pulling off a win.

See Nathan Lyon is playing for Lancashire, can't see him getting too much help on these early season pitches.

Cricket quiz: Can you name every batter to score 300 or more in a Test innings? - BBC Sport

not a bad quiz, got down to about 10 left to do (can't remember how many but got comfortably over half before recollection and trying to work out some of the ridiculous clues did my head in and I gave up

"The Universe Boss" may mean something to some, never heard it. Not sure if I knew he'd made a triple or not, was more aware of a few of the others (having made a triple) but tough to excel like you might say by naming current Liverpool first team squad regulars or something - very much more specific, narrowed down, currrent and not spread over hundred years, half a dozen or more countries and probably 27 out of thousands of candidates

    Got 18.

Karun made his debut in the place of an injured Rohit, back when Rohit played in the middle order & who had hit 2-3 consecutive centuries.
So when Rohit returned, Karun was dropped.

Then when he did receive another opportunity against the Aussies at home he performed poorly in multiple innings, with the highest score of 26 to show.
He toured with the side that went to England but didn't get any opportunity there, because the management wasn't impressed with him in the nets.

He hasn't been able to get back after that.

On a side note, decent captaincy by Curran yesterday. Got his team in the game by almost defending a low total.

He scored 364 runs in a six test career and 304 were hit in the one knock, still enough to brag about at dinner parties..

Undoubtedly an all-time great of both Kent and England and the records speak for themselves in that respect. He wasn't a big turner of the ball from the old footage that I've seen, and historians might well make the case for someone like Hedley Verity of Yorkshire being England's greatest ever spin bowler, but you don't have the career that Derek Underwood had without being a highly skilled operator. More than 40 years after his last Test, no English spinner has surpassed his record for Test wickets; a record that could have been out of sight forever had he been picked more frequently than he actually was.
