I ended up listening to a 5 hour video about why the current era of Doctor Who has been so bad at work over a few days recently. Haven’t seen any of it but the video really drew me in Sounds like a lot of it boils down to a terrible show runner who doesn’t know how to write realistic/human characters
They are probably going to work their way through all possibilities and profiles of possible new doctors.....female been ticked off, curious to see which box they will tick this time? Personally I think it's time it went into hibernation again.
Having watched the first couple of the Whittaker era and then binned it I wonder who this programme is now aimed at? Convoluted psuedo-scientific plots would seem to exclude the kids who used to watch it, yet it doesn't really look like adult entertainment either, and of course the days when families would gather round the 'big telly' to watch it together are long gone.
The BBC are currently looking for a black actress i read somewhere and no doubt she'll be a lesbian as well.
Olly Alexander 'set to be new Doctor Who and will become first-ever gay actor to play the Time Lord' | Daily Mail Online Saw that couple of months ago so might have changed now
John Bishop kidnapped by Chewbacca with a northern accent...well that was ****ing wild. Weeping Angels genuinely scare the life out of me though I will say.
What a bag of shite. Whoever filmed and watched back the opening sequence must only have felt pure embarrassment.
I haven't really watched much of Whittaker as the Doctor, but even in the trailers her overacting grates with me.
Actually quite enjoying this so far. John Bishop is a breath of fresh air although I’m a bit biased there lol.
I'd love to see Eddie Izzard as the new DR ,if ever a role was made for someone then this should be Eddies.
I'm sure he is, but not seen him in anything. Personally IDGAFF who does it, but there's clearly some degree of box ticking in the choice. As I've said not long ago, I think it might be time for it to be rested a few years again. Maybe the return of RTD might change my mind? But I've not had it as a "must watch" for a few years now.
I've never rated Jodi as Dr Who so I'm really glad she's moving on. The Eddie Izzard suggestion would be brilliant, but honestly I can't see that happening It's not just Jodi I have an issue with, the script writing for her stories has been simply terrible - far too choppy and nauseatingly virtuous and Woke ..... I suspect that the next Dr will also be a vicim of shitty script writing
