Yeah that wasn't really needed. Why the **** do managers keep subbing on players purely for penalties? They're not warmed up, they haven't got a feel for it and the pressure is extra on them because they know that's the entire reason they're on the pitch. Ridiculous. Gutted for rangers like . Always had a soft spot for them as my fathers side always had Scottish roots and were big rangers fans now the Scottish at least know what it’s like to come up against the Germans on penalties though
Wasn't a great game, 1-1 probably about right. All good penalties apart from one. Similar story to last year's final Unlucky Rangers.
All the Rangers tears will at least help put out the bars they'll set alight on the way back into town.
They won't admit to it but I bet the rest of the Rangers squad are furious with Ramsey, the player on loan missing the penalty to lose it and then leaving immediately. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk
And he's probably on more money than the rest of them as well. I still don't understand how a professional footballer can hit such a shit penalty. Even I can do better than that.
Completely agree. When England did it last summer I wasn't happy and was sadly proved emphatically right. Ramsey hasn't had a good loan at Rangers and it hasn't really worked out which piles more pressure on you. You're not warmed up, you know the only reason you're on the pitch is to take a penalty. So much extra pressure. At the end of the day, penalties isn't really about technique it's about having a clear plan and executing it. You need to pick the players with the best mindset who feel confident.
Imagine going up to a player after they’ve just lost a final and asking how they’re feeling I think we get the idea and it doesn’t really warrant asking them
