Last season in the run in for the League One promotion race it turned out a Sheffield Wednesday fan had been appointed as the referee in one of our games. We complained to the FA and they ending up changing the referee for our game.
I've only just seen the PL tweet and there is literally no response other than along the lines of "how about looking into your officiating". And yet I was told by someone on here earlier that it's literally just people from within the club that are backing this The storm we have caused is real and we have severely hurt the PL brand. Safe to say that they will be getting rid of us one way or the other so we might as well keep stirring the pot as much as we can until we're back in the Championship. I will literally back any move the club makes now, no matter how extreme. This has been the most exciting thing to happen to us since the playoff final
Lickspittles Neville and Spitty arguing that after much piss and wind nothing should change, it's almost like they owe their livings to towing the PL line through S*Y.
43 million views on Twitter. wHy DIdN't tHeY UsE thE pRoPer chAnnEls? Gutted about Neville. I used to like his working man political schtick a couple of years back. However, on closer inspection, he's just full of shit.
There are a lot of pundits and journos who have shown themselves up for what they are, despite in the past claiming they are "in it for the fans". In it for themselves and not wanting to shake the apple cart through fear of their own career, preferring instead to tow the line and say what is expected of them. I've even seen a well known Forest fan, who made it into journalism because of the club, selling his soul because he's just starting to make inroads in working with the BBC and Sky. The only journo I have seen to actually say it how it is is John Percy and my god, I never thought I'd be backing a Telegraph journo
Nottingham Forest are considering legal action against Sky after pundit Gary Neville labelled their controversial statement following defeat at Everton like that of a ‘mafia gang’. Greek owner Evangelos Marinakis was furious when his team were denied three penalties during the 2-0 loss at Goodison Park, with VAR Stuart Attwell seemingly choosing not to send referee Anthony Taylor to his pitchside monitor to review any of the decisions. The club then posted on X that they had warned the PGMOL about Attwell being a fan of Luton Town, their relegation rivals. Neville said: ‘It’s like a mafia-gang statement. I mean, honestly, what the hell are they playing at? It’s like a petulant child, it’s embarrassing. And some of those things they’re saying in there, the suggestion of some sort of inferring of cheating because there’s an official in VAR in Stockley Park who’s a Luton fan is a scandal, and they will pay for that.’ Mail Sport understands Forest’s legal team are now drafting a letter to Sky concerning Neville’s comments. The club privately accept they acted emotionally and with haste with regards to their statement, but that is unlikely to prevent a Football Association fine. Nottingham Forest could sue Sky over Gary Neville's mafia slur… while FA are set to throw book at club after bombshell statement, with Mark Clattenburg in hot water for Mail Sport column | Daily Mail Online
Jarred Gillet. Liverpool fan. Guess who is the VAR for the NLD at the weekend? Horrific optics in light of what happened the past weekend and subsequent fallout.
This feels like another reason to bin VAR, it'll always make avoiding these issues harder as it means you need to shuffle the pack even more to accommodate to have an extra 10 refs to cover the weekends games. They've obviously determined VAR is less of an issue for conflict of interest, but this game has now brought that into the debate.
PL now admitting they didn't check the Young/Hudson Odoi incident, also please Forest sue Neville into Bankruptcy
I wonder if they would have admitted this had we not requested/demanded the audio? And now it has been revealed that the PGMOL have said they will release the audio to the club but not publicly! I mean, that's not dodgy as **** at all, is it?
Strange that all from Liverpool and surrounding areas have never reffed Liverpool or Everton games, yet Anthony Taylor (Manchester) Chris Kavanagh (Greater Manchester) are quite often reffing Man United/City games. Even the ones from Wigan/Lancs seems to be omitted from Liverpool and Everton games, but not Man United or City games? when they are just as close to Manchester as they are to Liverpool Darren Bond, from Wigan, never involved in Liverpool, Everton or Wigan games? Yet refs Manc games. Michael Salisbury from Higher Penwortham, as close to Manchester as it is to Liverpool, yet seems to be banned from Liverpool/Everton games, but not Manc games They really dont help themselves do they?
Cause he's an Altrincham fan (all family s/t holders at Old Trafford allegedly ) or otherwise known as a **** We know we're ****ed when Taylor and Oliver are claimed to be the best.
Just catching up with it all today and Forest fans have spent the last 24 hours digging out old tweets from the likes of Shearer, Neville and the spitting rat Carragher where they have used terms like "corrupt" when discussing VAR in the past and yet are questioning Forest on it. The beauty of social media is that there is always an old tweet waiting to bite your current opinion on the arse
