Ah, we already have a final thread and I've just congratulated in the semi-final thread :fail:

OK, here again: Congrats, England. First final in 55 years. About time! Deserved win. No doubt about it

I know that I wanted Denmark in the final but now as it didn't happen I want you guys to win it all and not Italy.

    And btw:
You must win it because otherwise your perfect 100% winning percentage in (a) final(s) would be down to 50%. Just like Germany ;) . And you don't want that to happen, right?

    So better win this!

Not happening. Chiellini and Bonnuci will see to that. You won’t break Italy down, a side that has not lost for 2 years. Easy enough for Italy.

Treason is still the only offence that carries the death sentence. I see you've expected that right

Two things worries me: we’re probably tired and Wembley. We will need strong mentality to win this game.

You have some quality on bench, more than us, so it’d be important for us to score in the first half.

Anyway enjoy the game guys! We both did a very good tournament.

You will win no problem. Those 2 absolute units in the centre of defence will see to it. If De Bruyne couldn’t do anything against this Italy side I doubt any of our current crop can.

this is going to be a close one it might even go all the way to penaltys but I'm going to have a little optimism the team have earned that, I think we'll finish the job in extra time against a tired Italy defence

    My prediction:

    England 2 Italy 1

Nah its ok fella. Seriously not a problem was beaten to starting the Final thread. Me too slow nothing more.

Am sure the thread will go into the Hall Of Fame if England win.

The record for Italy going into the final is

    P 6, W 5, D 1, F 12, A 3 + 9 GD

    England's is

    P 6, W 5, D 1, F 10, A 1 + 9 GD

Yeah i know Italy won on penalties in their 6th match but the results are inside 120 minutes.

Italy's front line isn't great. They make poor decisions, and often all end up on top of each other, all the while large gaps are open on the wings. If England are compact, they will struggle to create space.

Bonnucci also loves to give the ball away to the opposition on the half way line, with nobody covering him. England should exploit that.

England have teams that have won big trophies too. In fact both squads have the same number of Euro and World Cup winners I believe. However, England have twice as many Champions League winners.

In the teams they play in. I’ve not been impressed with England in this tournament. Struggled through our group scraping games 1-0, should of gone out to Germany based on chances. Only just got past Denmark last night and in the final as I’ve said many times are playing against a side that have not lost in 2 years. Only one winner in this one. Every realist knows Italy are winning the euro. They know how to win games like this.
