    Same!

In a strange way though, Meronk thoroughly more deserving imo than Hojgaard but have a sneaky feeling Hojgaard will prove a better pick?

Hardest part for Hojgaard now is the pressure. If he doesn't do well then people will point at him straight away and say Meronk should've been picked.

He's still a top player and there's obviously something that Donald has seen fits the team better.

I was worried about this Ryder Cup but looking at the teams and the course, I do fancy our chances.

Not having to face the wrath of Thomas Bjorn I’d have thought

I’m quietly optimistic here. Our top 8 can stand up against theirs no problems, and on home soil I’m confident.

    Can’t say I blame him.

He’s essentially been punished by playing on the PGA Tour for a month or so, whereas if he’d have stuck to the DPWT he’d have probably qualified automatically. Seems a bit counterproductive, especially given everything happening regarding the effective relegation of the DPWT lol.

Got to say I’m glad Bryson isn’t in the Ryder cup team. He’s absolutely on fire atm. The US will regret that decision imo. Absolutely arrogant of them to leave out some of their best players just because they don’t play on the PGA.

Sounds like there might be some more players going to LIV soon.

With the PGA Tour having some events without a cut now, I'm worried about where top level golf is going. When you hear what players on the Challenge Tour etc. have to do just to break even at tournaments, it's creating a huge disparity, much like many other things in sport nowadays.

    Money killing something else?

I thought there was no LIV anymore as the PGA/DP tour had merged together with it?

Basically for as you say the money was too good .

Can someone please explain how mcilroy won the European tour order of merit when he barely plays any events on the tour compared to most? I'm not sure he even won one this season

Won in Dubai at start of the year and at the Scottish.

Then top 10 at Wentworth and top 10 at 3 of the majors.

I agree that the RTD should have try and reward the regular Euro Tour events more than it does, but tbf to Rory he’s smashed what he’s needed to to win it. The biggest events and ones with the heaviest weighting (i.e. Dubai, Wentworth and the co-sanctioned) he’s all done very well in or won, so it makes sense.

Whilst my bum chum sticks with the PGA but continues to talk shit and make himself look like a twat.

Presumably if Rahm seriously expects us to believe he doesn't play golf for the money, his next career move will be to join that well-known bastion of honesty and integrity - the Conservative Party.
