He won't be going anywhere if Arsene does not find a suitable replacement - someone who shares his vision of the europa cup and runners-up spots being the pinnacle of club football ambition.

Already there is the feeling Arsenal are once again going to drag their heels in the transfer market.

Good point - but maybe it's that feeling still lingering from the Reyes & Urzil deals??
(Urzil must be the laughing stock of Europe, never mind England - how much does he make
each week for just shuffling around the pitch?? Probably couldn't give him away...)

Now, where are my anti-jaded tablets?

Nothing to do with jadedness, there's just not much activity in our forum these days. I've discussed it extensively in the main forum.

Depressing enough being a gooner without reading about star players wanting to leave and/or running down their contracts, AW staying even longer and our supposed transfer targets. Contrast that with already successfull teams strengthening their squads so top 4 looks ever less likely aside from the fear of how we'll cope with all these europa league games plus the travel.
Even by our recently lamentable standards this season promises to be hell.

Truthfully, the season hinges on Sanchez. If we keep him, I think we'll have a good season.

I'm concerned with the travel and small recovery period that comes with the Europa. The actual competition itself I'm looking forward to. The blend of youth we'll have in the side will make it exciting. I'm looking forward to seeing the likes of Holding, Bielik, Iwobi and Maitland-Niles progressing as players.

It's true that he can be key but he has to travel a lot for Chile and seems to ofte return tired, plus he doesnt always perform well and far too often fails to see better options than him shooting.
Like Danny, Lacazette & Iwobi all looked good Sunday and Xhaka too. Their goal was classic, Xhaka slices it onto Cahill's head who finds an unarked team mate in our area at a corner FFS. Just as well they were poor too for our goal.
    Will be a long season

Every season's long - especially when after that 4-3 result, AW comes out with
"last season we were quite good on corners" - is that just a Frog soh, or what??
Pulis and others will be rubbing their hands with gleeful anticipation... relieved
to see that Liverpool have the same disease.

Think Wrighty made a good point when he said we ought to put a quick bid in
for Van Dijk before someone else does.

Agree that younger players like Holding, Bielik, Iwobi and Maitland-Niles etc.
are looking good - but we need to strengthen the defence - and quickly.

Who are these star players you speak off, I just feel we have a middle of the road squad just destined for mid table and the cup?

Just as I thought and no one else in the pipeline, guess we're a selling club now?

Why didn’t Arsenal renew Hutchinson’s deal? Doing really well for us in PL2.

I think it was more of a case of the player not wanting to. We'd signed Marquinhos, still had Nelson around and was looking to buy another wide option. I guess he didn't think he could see a path to the first team.

Being honest the chances of First team football would have been rare and going out on loan in the lower league would have been the solution for us, but not in any realistic sense for him, he wanted first team football as I feel he has international ambitions with Jamaica. But are Chelsea the best solution? We got some money for him so possibly a good deal for us but for him we'll have to see but yes, a decent player.
