Him standing in the managers technical area shouting at them all when he went off injured in the final HAHAHAHA HAHAHA RONALDO THERE Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
I’d honestly take him off. He’s untouchable in some games but in games like this he’s only hampering us Move Bernardo into the middle with Bruno, take Ronaldo and William off and stick Felix and Silva on
I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make tbh. I think it’s common sense to make it it as fair as is reasonably possible. Not just skew the whole thing because yes the games have to be played somewhere.
Unfortunately yep Hungary have been pretty shite to be honest, but we’re moving the ball around so slowly and it doesn’t help when you miss sitters like that. I know we always start tournaments badly but I always get my hopes up that it may change and I continue to be disappointed
Portugal a little disappointing here. Hungary not doing bad but are being made to look better than they realistically are. Quite lethargic from a few of the Portuguese lot you'd expect more from.
Right, so what on Earth are you banging on about? This is about hosts having an “unfair advantage.” Everyone agrees having one host is much better than having it all over. Fact remains, one of the privileges of hosting is having some advantage, it’s not unfair it’s just how it is.
If you're Hungary and you actually want to try and get through this group, you have to try and win this game at some point surely? Don't get me wrong I think they're playing well on the break at the moment but if you get to 20 minutes left and it's still 0-0 in the most winnable game you have, they have to come out more. If people want one host, but don’t want them to have an advantage perhaps UEFA could look at having every tournament in Scotland from now on?
Literally the first line of my post was ‘it’s not just about home advantage’ and I described why I thought that. I feel it introduces an unnecessary broader advantage and skews and unbalances the whole competition further and should be dropped. We seem to be agreeing that having a host nation makes the competition much better so there’s at least a clear rationale for it. I don’t really get how we then leap to saying because of that it follows there’s no reason not to select multiple other competing teams for home games too.
This is the most disappointingly similar feeling Euro game we've had yet. Stop start, no momentum from either side, predictable moves and generally sterile all round. Surely neither side wants to settle for a draw so hopefully that changes
