Wilson has now won FIVE consecutive Goal of the Month competitions, and scored 12 goals so far this season. I really hope we don't let the kid slip through our fingers, he is going to be a future star player IMO free-kick against @ManUtd is #DCFC's Goal of the Month for September! Goal of the Month for October! West Brom Goal of the Month November Stoke City Goal of the Month December Swansea City
Yeah he should definitely be an option for next season without a doubt, the kid has exceeded expectations and then some, this season.
Pity the poor lad has Salah, Mane and Firmino in front of him, would love to see him as an option next season. Any idea what he's like coming off the bench? As I haven't watched a minute of Derby this season? Some players thrive off the bench, but some need to be involved in the game for longer.
Harry Wilson says he is determined to cap his loan spell at Derby with promotion to the Premier League, but insists his ambition is to succeed at Liverpool. Wilson has earned a reputation for a spectacular goal but the most memorable of his strikes came in Derby's shock victory against Jose Mourinho's Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup in September. He endeared himself further with the Anfield faithful when he celebrated the goal by gesturing five fingers, referring to Liverpool's five European Cups. With it being at Old Trafford made it even more special. Wilson also says Jurgen Klopp was a big fan of the 25-yard free-kick and has kept in regular contact during his consistent performances. He dropped me a text to tell me he'd watched it and he was delighted with the performance - and the goal!" Wilson said. A couple of weeks ago there was another message saying, 'Good result, good goal - keep going'. When you get those texts, it is a massive boost. You know you aren't forgotten. My goal is to play for Liverpool. I have always felt like a Liverpool player. Everything is going along the right path
It's not a pity mate there his benchmark and if he gets in in front of any of them then we have a hell of a player on our hands
He’s a good player and seems grounded. Hope he makes it as a Liverpool player. Pity he’s not English (and I haven’t said that about anyone since Giggs - **** Gareth Bale)
This may be true, but our three fingered freak Dan Burn is going to kick him off the pitch tomorrow (Lump on a Wilson goal from outside the box. Nailed on)
Don't you worry, the English FA ancestry division will be working on finding an English relative from the 16th century that will allow us to pinch him from you
Wilson needs to be on the bench for us next season, we need to see if he's top 6 quality, we're not going to learn this till he has a few games.
Absolutely. It’s only by playing at this Level can you tell if they are good enough. I actually don’t think he will be good enough but I hope I’m wrong.
Could be a quality player, still fades in and out but I want to see him get a healthy chance next season.
The 22-year-old took his tally for the season to 16 goals in all competitions with his brace today against QPR
Very impressive numbers from the lad this campaign, 21 goals, 4 assists in 52 appearances for us (in the preseason friendlies), Derby and Wales. Harry Wilson Football Statistics | WhoScored.com If Lallana and Sturridge move on, and Klopp isn't looking to bring anyone in, I'd like to see Wilson in and around the squad, I think he deserves the chance. Or would you all maybe prefer he got his gametime in the Premier League with Derby if they got promoted?
