    Klopps last
Yeah, the only real worry regarding age is the front three, but even these (well Mane and Salah at least) look like they could go into their low/mid 30s and still be top players, both extremely fit and both (I know I'm going to regret saying this) dont pick up many injuries.

But with Jota we have a decent replacement for either of the top three who begin to wane, Minamino hopefully too.

Midfieldwise its a bit of a mixed bunch with several approaching 30, several (Fabinho, Ox, Keita) coming into what should be their prime and then Jones, Elliot hopefully, being youth coming through.

Defence, two of the back 4 being 22/23 and Robertson approaching his prime so no worries there.

Matip was pretty highly rated at Schalke tbf he made the golden boy shortlist with them and was touted for great things.

  3. is this the usual moronic "banter"

It's par for the course that a team who've splashed huge cash and had an awful time (everton) would have a fan daring to critique a close to 100% success record in transfers.

    Not to mention other clubs.

If a breif run down of most big clubs, e.g barca, Chelsea, man utd, even man city were done the success rate irrespective of fee size is much much lower.

It is actually normal to have hits and misses. some clubs have got is really really badly wrong like everton and utd and some have done swell.

It is not a coincidence that with klopp's tenure as the team got better peoepl got more and more jealous and bitter ;)

I don't actually think Klopp has missed in the transfer market yet even Karius we are gonna make money on and probably already made it back off loan fees.

  6. Grujic - £5m - as OP says. an asset thats paid for his won wages in loan fees. pity about coivd
Garaba - £250,000 - an academy buy. remains to be seen
Mane - £30m - top top player. southampton fans knew they were robbed day 1 as i recall
    Karius - £4.7 - yes flop
Matip - Free - yes, overall a success due to impact and low wages and fee. his injury record was no surprise though.
Klavin - £4m - yes again bought for cover and did actually much better than he had a right to. good buy.
Wijnaldum - £25m - clearly he's paid his fee back in spades. I get frustrated with his desire to hold the ball but he's a key player and a big big part of the side/
Salah - £43m - ?? 43mil. never was less than that. He was a monumental success for us.
Solanke - £4m - yeah another moneyball one. how we got that fee. i dunno decent lad but felt like an academy type move.
Andy Robertson - shows klopp trusts scouts. acgain a huge success and massive bonus.
Ox - £35m - this was spending a load of cash from transfers when we had it. the knee injury means he is a flop sorry. he was an interesting buy but he did so much knee damage in that tackle he hasn't been right.
Van Dijk - yeah, total bargain, what were the rest thinking when we stepp out in august. city and the rest should have gazzumped.
Keita - no, he's a flop sorry. for the fee his injuries are a huge huge issue. Looked eager yesterday when he came on but so far he's disappotined.
Fabinho - £43m - yeah absolutely top class fella this. huge impact
Shaqiri - £13m - largely useless as never available and doesnt fit the model. he is the moneyball decision. All that is needed to be saif is LFC 4 barc a 0. we got or money's worth back and he will be useful for the next while imo.
    Becker - £65m - huuge success
Van Der Berg - £4m - again fee was 1.5mil. I don't thikn he will make it but we will loan him and get the fee back.
Harvey Elliott - no tribunal call, he could be expensive but it looks like he will gain a reputation this year for blackburn and make that fee look ok.
Adrian - Free - he is knocked savagely but he's a decent lad whos come to be a sub and has done the job. poepel expect way too much out of him. he is very good 1 on 1 and a decent player.
Minamino - another moneyball player. cheap and likely to be sold on at a profit. I think he's too lightweight but all it takes is one key game won for him to be worth keeping roaunda and he works hard
Tsimikas - new signing totally unfair to rate.
Thiago - bargain but has to get on the pitch. we are all confident of his class but can;t rate fairly.
Jota - £45m - - unfiar to rate, I've seen plenty have a purple patch after all. But lets face it the wolves lads were gutted to see him go. seems a nice honest lad so fits in and looks like he's got the confidence and ability to finish so I won't rate him out of fairness.

    I make that 3 flops
    Karius
    Ox (injury)
    keita (always injured)

some squad types as well you'd hardly call wonderful but all play their part well

and most impartantly every single first team players that we've laid out on has worked.

people forget the team klopp inherited. He has in the end built his team around HENDERSON :) (and firmino) just look at the attitude and fit using those two as the model. mane, salah, wijnaludm, fabinho, jota, robertson, alisson. all hard workers, all the same sort of mentality and desire.

Theres no blue print to success but in this case its clear all pulling i nthe one direction helps.

If you look at certain teams you wonder who is buying who and they chop and change managers and it all looks disjointed. god knows we were at that in the 2010 to 2015 era.

I'm still holding out hope that someone like Grujic or Wilson ends up being actually good enough as a regular for us. Never really get to see them much in a competitive context, but I guess they've not done enough in training to merit a spot.

Can't take you serious if you think Shaq has been largely useless he's brilliant and shows it the limited minutes he gets. Also we don't win the Champions League without him.

Well, if you look at what Lampard has done / is doing, it's exceptional. Of the summer recruitment the only prime players he brought in were Mendy at £20m and Ziyech (a world class forward) at £30m. That's outstanding. The other purchases have been for players who could be at the club for 10 years or more. Aside from Thiago Silva - a world class centre back - for free. This combined with the continued integration of academy players - James, Mount, Hudson-Odoi, Abraham - and possibly Tomori. Combine this with the profitable outgoing transfers and loans and it's absolutely bang on the way an elite club should be run, and the perfect execution of a sustainable and highly successful transfer strategy. So, yes, if Klopp wants to stick around he could find no better person to study in this regard than Frank Lampard.

No I didn't, I said about Robertson "An absolute gem of a buy"...which he has been, do you not agree no? £8m/10m or whatever from Championship Hull, now worth 5 times that? Why is saying he was a "gem of a buy" so "cultish"?

As for Fergie, sorry no, you just made that bizarre crap up because you'd had a mare and needed a get-out, luckily no one bought it

Bloody hell mate you're one to talk about other fanbases dishing out death threats when Pickford got them along with a load of abuse from your lot just for posting a picture of a red Xbox controller on Twitter. Didn't Koeman get the same treatment for having red decorations on his Christmas tree one year?? The Peoples Club .
