Sure, keep using Nunez and Gapko..See how good Nunez is when he's not having chances to waste and being the main man.

All 5 of Liverpool's forwards are in double figures in all comps this season.

You seem to be forgetting Jota? Diaz? Yeah we miss a lot of chances, but we also score a shedload too...just had a few bad weeks in front of goal thats all.

Arsenal dont have an out and out striker smacking 30 goals a season, like us, they have goals right through the side. The days of needing a 30 goal striker are far gone. In truth only City, with Haaland, have an out and out goal scorer and even he's not been as prolific as last season.

"All comps" pretty easy when you're in Europa league. Salah, Nunez and Jota the only ones in the Premier League and Nunez is the only striker in that group.

I'm not saying you need wingers, I said a striker once Salah leaves.

I'm not forgetting them, I'm not counting them as a striker or the main man. That's my main point if Salah leaves, who is the guy that is stepping up? It won't be Nunez, Diaz and Jota might but they are hit or miss most games.

Jota ain't hit or miss, he's the best finisher in the club and yeah that includes Salah, his only issue is stop getting injured.

As I said, who besides City have a "main man" these days? Goals are shared around by most clubs.

I mean you guys are arguing against Stl but out of the challengers for the title only 1 of them has a recognised first choice striker and they look like the side that's going to win it, so maybe he has a point.

Whatever mate, prior to this downturn they'd only failed to score in a single game in all competitions all season.

If a forward is sold then obviously they need a forward, but I'd be more than happy to go into next season with this current crop. Our fifth choice forward has scored 14 goals this season. Lol.

That's what I started out saying, if Salah is sold you need someone. Most likely a striker was my point because you have wingers. You will also have a brand new style so I expect chances and goals to drop. Not many managers can setup a team to score like Klopp has.

Klopp improves everyone so I expect a drop off with a lot of players under a new manager.

His injuries is what makes him hit or miss. He's not a consistent choice you can rely on.

Only City has an outright striker and they are the favorites for a reason. But more importantly, you need a main man. If Salah leaves, you don't have that.

If Jota hadn't got injured Liverpool would have won at Old Trafford and City at Anfield. :shrug

Welcome to the life of a new manager. Liverpool fans are in for a rude awakening after being spoiled with one of the greats for 7 years.

They would be scary trees tbf.
Though if you had one you'd be minted.

It's difficult to pinpoint a particular position though really. So there's no reason striker can't be seen as a priority. No one position stands out as a major concern so a striker who scores you 20 league goals + could be a logical step, though it'd likely have to come after a sale of another forward option.

Lol this forum alone is littered with posts by Liverpool fans who acknowledge there will be a likely drop off. Bore off.

Not at all, you forget we had to put up with Roy Hodgson not too long ago :)

No one is expecting him to be as good as Klopp, not many are, but the ways he's being written off by most, including Liverpool fans, is ridiculous. I think he's going to shock a few folk.
