Interesting to see Paul Hurst as the early favourite for the Shrewsbury job. I know it went well for him there previously but that does look like a case of putting two and two together.
Ok , I thought it was in season for some reason , I remember a 7/8 minute video of him after 0-3 Posh win at Shrewsbury & he looked a broken man much like a Fergie interview when Posh are getting stuffed in the Championship , i do feel for him & Taylor Shrews have been littered with loads of injuries last 2 seasons , that'll be tough on any team .
Strange career he's having. Looks decent at times while not achieving anything, but seems to lose the plot easily when it goes wrong.
He's a bit of a fraud as a manager That said he wasn't properly backed here. Still shite tactics and dull football didn't help him though. Most Blackpool fans hate him, I don't. He came in at a difficult time.
Not surprised , who do you want in ? Someone who's defensive minded like Nathan Jones or Gareth Ainsworth would be a good fit , from an outsider looking in defence is your big problem & with teams in & around you picking up points more regularly than you if you're not careful it could be local(ish) away days at Wimbledon , Sutton & or even Bromley next season , grim !
As a Reading fan, that sounds like a great prsopect to look forward....it would mean we haven't folded......
I reckon you'll be fine . You may well start next season in Division 2 but under new ownership / management the only way is up . Reading are way to bigger club & with a decent recent history to go tits up , you should take EFL to Court for having Dai pass the fit & proper test after his previous club insolvencies in China & Belgium , criminal that they did .
Those liquidations happened after he took over us, so we can't use that one. A major problem we have is that the club, stadium and training ground are all different companies so negotiating the sale is difficult as he may try or want to retain part of it. The land around the stadium and the hotel (adjoined to the stadium) is still owned by our previous owners (the Thai consortium).
I believe the training ground is owned by the club company - although wouldn't stop the owner selling it off separately. Seen a lot about the fact we will be fine, but the precedent our owner has had for liquidating clubs rather than selling on the cheap / putting into administration is concerning. The fact that administration wouldn't be a bad option for us now is frightening.
Who do reckon you'll get in in April to replace him ? You've gotta keep up with Forest Green in seasonal managerial turnover . Joking aside , looks a good appointment on paper , I bet he wasn't cheap either but with ex Posh interim CEO Jim Rodwell at Charlton money is immaterial .
Charlton are very close to the drop zone, a bit of a quiet drop, but that appointment should keep them safe.
Yep, got a job on his hands but there should be more than enough in that squad once a proper coach gets hold of them and instils a bit of confidence in them.
Robbie Williams and co are after a new manager. Port Vale sack manager Crosby after poor run - BBC Sport
5.5 yr deal Surely there's some clauses in there if you get relegated or Man City come in for him ? Ainsworth was on Sky Sports News tonight & genuinely sounded a bit gutted it wasn't him in the hot seat .
Darren Moore good manager but still got the same shite players work with. We have vale at home towards the end of the season so us beating them could send Bolton up and vale down.
