Blimey , though not surprised & decent timing so he can see who he's got at the club who to get rid of & who to keep .

He's done fantastic at Stevenage this season & he signed 3 out of favour Posh players last season Dan Butler & Nathan & Ben Thompson , I wonder if he'll sign any of Posh's out of contract players all of whom fits his style in Jonson Clarke-Harris , Josh Knight , Jeandro Fuchs & Jed Steer if Victor Johansen leaves the Millers ?

As much as it feels like Richardson was on a bit of a hiding to nothing with Rotherham this season, it feels like a smart move for them to get Evans back because of both his previous success there and the phenomenal job he's done at Stevenage to go from League Two relegation candidates to League One promotion hopefuls inside two years. The fear at Stevenage now must surely be they regress just as quickly without him as they rose with him.

That's about as weird timing as you can get, isn't it? Must win match to get into the playoffs at the weekend and no manager - unless they have someone lined up!

Surely nobody is going to be stupid enough to try the "Rooney project" again, are they?

I'm just joking re the Rooney thing but to an outsider it does seem weird timing , then again , so did his appointment after Duff went but I'd imagine the new interim manager will get the standard bouncebackability performances out of the players .

I didn't realise until I just looked at the table that there was a chance of them NOT making the play offs , I've had it in my head for last few weeks that Posh will be playing them in the play off semi's , funny thing this football lark .

They are hoping for a new manager bounce.

Collins hasn't done great and they now find themselves in a position they shouldn't be in

Still has the element that football has gone mad. Sacking a manager while in a play-off spot with one game to go. They must be desperate to earn promotion.

Yes weird with one game to go, behave though, I'd sooner have mr frigging tumble from kid's tv than Rooney lol. We aint winning play offs even if we get in them with the way we are defending atm lol. Shakier than an MFI wardrobe.
More like pleasing the Collins out brigade mate.....with season ticket sales in mind. Being desperate for promotion would mean ambition.....all they are bothered about is skimming money off.

    Aren't you owned by a Billionaire ?

You lot remind me of a bigger version of Posh as in every season you seem to sell off all your best assets & then once every 3/4 seasons get promoted to the Championship & the then current manager isn't backed & it's relegation , sign , sell & sell some more repeat etc...

I wouldn't even say we are a bigger version of you mate tbh, and billionaires not interested in spending money are useless. But yes, if that's what you do? We are the same.

Its not a move yet, but I'm going be the first to say that if Bolton fail to go up this season, I would put money on Evatt taking a job in the championship and leaving Bolton, he has dropped the odd hint here or there in the season.

Alex Revell named Stevenage manager - think he was already there on the coaching staff and has been manager there before?

With what needs doing hope it’s not a 3 week interview process, imagine Michael Duff will be strongly linked again.
