Crawley v Barrow tomorrow was already a big game in the playoff race but, with Crawley losing to Colchester at the weekend, I'd say it's a more important game for them to win than for Barrow. As much as I'd like to think we won't need a result when we go to Crawley on the last day, Sutton away this weekend won't be easy for them particularly if Sutton need to win to keep their survival hopes alive as may be the case depending on results tomorrow.
Yeah it’s a huge game tonight. I think we’d take anything but a Crawley win, but at this point whatever happens happens. To even be discussing it still seems mental!
I'm heading down there for my second Barrow game of the season (using my original £10 ticket). In hope but not expectation of points. U's at Gas (hoping for our Gas Man to deflate the Gas with a couple of goals) was always going to be an iFollow game and the joys of the M25 were too tempting to miss, so I'll just be keeping an eye on the Cambridge score. Definitely rooting for Donny (always get a warm welcome in the Supporters Club) and Big Joe Ironside to get into the play-offs but not at the expense of Barrow.
Congrats to Mansfield , about time after so many near misses & i think Posh get a few quid add on cash re the Pym transfer . Adiós FGR , was 8/1 start of the season to be relegated , I wish I'd had more on
Stuck £15 on Stockport to win the league at the start of the season so I was glad to see them win it the other night. Mansfield & Wrexham probably deserve to join them automatically too. Donny's turnaround is quite something. It's also pretty mad that if we beat Walsall and then Barrow in our game in hand we COULD go into the final day still with a chance of getting the play-offs. So frustrating how crap we have been and we're so close. Next year looks weak. Carlisle have the money but nobody coming down from L1 screams out they will be up there. Don't know enough about Chesterfield to know if they'll be up there and all the NL play off teams seem pretty tinpot. The 3 who have gone up to L1 were always going to be up there so I'm glad they're all promoted. I can see next year being anybody's league.
Congratulations to Stockport, Mansfield and Wrexham on promotion. As a Donny fan I hope we will be joining you all. We do have the strength right now to achieve the unlikely with 9 points still on the table.
We will be a WIP, but have a manager who knows how to win this league and some quality in the side, especially at the top end. We’ve been on the piss since we won the league in basically Feb and the form has been shocking, but us messing about with the team since then has showed some players aren’t good enough, and I’m glad we are finding this out now and not 10 games into the season. We’ve got goals in abundance and some really good exciting players, but defensively have been poor all season, I’d be tempted to get an entire new back four in, or we’d be endanger of doing something similar to Notts C this season. Naylor, Colclough and Dobra will be some of the better players in the league I’ve no doubt if he can hang on to all 3. Fully expect Cook to get us firing and we will look to be upwardly mobile
It’s all set up today.. - 8 wins in a row - Absolutely flying since January - Keeping clean sheets - Almost a home sell out - 1 point off the play offs Barrow win
Bloody Doncaster about to go from bottom 3 to top 5 Wouldn't fancy playing against a side in that kind of form in a play-off to say the least!
Going to just assume Donny will win both games left, so: We beat Barrow on Tuesday. Final day we beat Newport, Crawley draw with Grimsby and Barrow lose to Mansfield. Easy. See you at Wembley Donny.
