Be some bottle job from Crewe if they fall out of the play-offs. 2 wins in 12 (including today so far), failing to score in seven of them and a hammering to the goal difference -14 goals. Edit: They hold onto a play-off spot. Woefully out of form against the most in-form team in the division for the tie...
Just had a nervous poo. Gutted for Lo Tutala but sounds like it's only one game ban so that's good news.
I suspect you could have done without that period of madness in the second half. Having taken the 25/1 that was available on you finishing in the top seven after you beat Wrexham, so could I.
Glad the season is over, the last half dozen games or so has been awful. Good luck to those in the playoffs.
Get in!!! Was so nervous checking the scores throughout the second half but we did it. Even with other results going our way it was still crucial that we dug in with 10 men and got the point
There are some strange rules in football, but a goalie getting a straight red card for just handling the ball outside the box does seem extremely excessive. A yellow maybe, but a red should be for more severe offences like dangerous play that could injure another player. That cost Donny our 11th win in a row as we were clearly on course at 0-2 to win the game. We only shot ourselves in the foot, oh well, it is what it is now. I still expect Rovers will still be too strong for Crewe or MK Dons and secure promotion. We have a week to settle back down and come out fighting again, and no doubt the Crewe and MK Dons managers will be moaning about something in the coming weeks. A shame for Barrow who had a good season early on and ran out of steam at the end. And a close one for Bradford who failed by just one point. A sad day for Sutton and Forest Green, let's hope they can do well next season.
Yes, a poor run for you at then end, but at least you were never in danger of going down. Thanks from us all in the playoffs. The job is not yet done so it remains tense for us all. Realistically, it's still only a one in four chance.
Indeed. Coughlan would have learned a fair bit about the fight in some of these players. It's going to be an interesting first summer under Jenkins that's for sure.
Gutted for Sutton Ultimately loyalty to Matt Gray cost them in the end, he should have been gone in October and then taking a month to replace him was really poor. Confident for next season Morison is a good manager.
Strange world where Forest Green has double relegations and Wrexham has double promotions. Not long ago I was expecting Donny Rovers could be going down with our last 3 years appalling form.
A shame, but ending the season with 5 wins in a row is something to take in to next season I suppose.... glad Sutton & Forest Green have gone down, I think they brought a combined total of 200 to our place. Replacing them with Bromley or Solihull isn't getting the juices flowing though. If we aren't up there next season given the state of the league then I will give up. Hopefully Crawley win the PO's just because it gets rid of another southern tinpot team and I enjoy going to Crewe & Doncaster. Good luck all (except MK).
Stephen Clemence sacked by Gillingham. Guess play-offs was the aim. Mixed reaction on Twitter but guess they have done it early ready for next season.
I think it's fair to say that Gillingham would have taken a pasting if the Doncaster goalie had not been red carded and unsettled the Rovers squad. They were already 0-2 down at home when the red card incident happened.
I thought Gillingham would do better than they did and I was really disappointed by them when we beat them at home early season. I know Gareth Ainsworth is the early favourite, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Bromley's Andy Woodman being talked up if they lose the playoff final on Sunday. He's been linked with them before.
We've sold our our away play off game on the morning of it going on sale to season ticket holders, didn't even make it to general sale. MASSIVE.
Sutton go & Bromley take their place , another Southern club in this Division next season . Posh played them in FA Cup about 5/6 years ago & they had a plastic pitch & ground wasn't up to much , not sure if it's improved since but it wasn't great . Good luck to Donny tomorrow , in fact everyone but Fake Dons .
They've upgraded the stand behind one goal, replaced the benches with seats. Built a brand new massive bar behind it as well, which does great cheesy chips if I say so myself.
