Gerrard for sure. Alonso and Henderson for second place but Xabi was arguably world class in his prime. Probably the best passer we've ever had.
Brilliant player, but Mascherano is the only player on the list to not win a single thing as a Liverpool player. A victim of circumstance perhaps? I would say on ability alone then Gerrard, Hamann, Mascherano and Alonso rank top. Lucas, Murphy, Redknapp and (sorry) Milner rank bottom. McAllister and Henderson in the midst of it. So for me it is a no brainer since Gerrard and Hamann are the two most decorated players as well as being 2 of the best for ability in the midfield.
Gerrard and Alonso - without a doubt. Gerrard is obvious and Alonso should be too .. what a player he was. I still shudder to think he was going to be sold to replaced by Barry ffs!
