    Agreed.

Pretty harsh on Gary McAllister to miss out. Him Redknapp & Murphy would be a formidable midfield.

Just because I find a group of grown men all piling in a thread to act like dorky sheep a bit childish doesn’t mean my toys are out of the pram. H2H.

And let’s be honest .. It’s only cos it’s Ally’s thread that you’ve all done it .. it’s great how bothered by him you all are

  3. I'm fairly sure the poll creator or a mod can see who voted anyway.

no big deal, frankly a bit disappointing as a jape if only one vote got targeted.

You can't see until you voted tbh, therefore if you want to see result you have to vote.

No, it’s the toys cascading from the pram like giant colourful rain that are the giveaway. x

Yes, this is all a cunning plan to annoy AW who will be furious that his thread has been ruined... or will just ignore our votes, pick the obvious actual winners and move swiftly on.

F*ck me, your flip-flopping between arselicking half the members in the chat and your OTT dislike of all of us is even starting to get on my nerves now and I used to quite like you.

Anybody can see who voted for who. You just click on the number of votes and it shows you, but even then it doesn’t take a genius to work out.

I just thought it would be quite funny if it was a team of Salah, VVD, Suarez, Torres etc and then Danny Murphy in the middle. I’m glad everyone but Miss_LFC managed to see it for the harmless joke it was, f*ck me.

I'm wondering what manner of chicanery removed the opportunity for the much vaunted Charlie Adam to top this poll ?

It matters because football teams of a certain level are expected to win trophies, and players signed to achieve this aim. Henderson wouldn't have any votes had his trophy haul still only included the League Cup tbf.

    Ooops :ashamed:laugh:

But it’s the team that wins the trophy not the individuals so you’d don’t always have the best player in a position within a trophy winning team, sometimes it’s simply the best fit. The likes of Carra and Henderson are examples of this.

And if we use team trophies won to judge players individual talent then that would make Darren Fletcher a better player than Steven Gerrard .. and they’d be so many examples of this.

This is true, however I wasn't suggesting only taking trophies as the sole decider but a combination of factors. Murphy is more decorated than Mascherano but Mascherano is clearly one of the best players for ability. Whilst Murphy was bang average.

But we'd be judging Mascherano and to an extent Alonso on what they achieved post-Liverpool by placing them in the top 2 imo.

  16. lol.

surely putting dudes, mcateer, bjornebye et al would be even funnier.

I don’t think you can really take it into consideration at all but I do agree slightly that both Mascherano and Alonso are both being judged on overall career rather than just at Liverpool, but let’s be honest they were great for us too. Alonso still to this day I don’t think we’ve had a better passer since.

How can you say you dont miss the flaxen haired Russian hitting the side netting or gloriously lofting the ball over the bar. Do you know just how many footballs the guy gave the Kop ? We all have a football courtesy of The Vod.

Exactly. Both have had exceptional careers and were decent in their time at Liverpool. However they weren't at the club long enough to be considered Liverpool greats imo.
