Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll now appears to be the favourite for the Burnley managerial vacancy..... It Looks Like Sean O'Driscoll !
Must say he is an outstanding manager if you get him, but the fans will have to give him time as he will completely change your style it took him over 8 months before we could understand his stlye and tactics the big question will you club give him the Time.
Yes already been reading in on the bbc and i reckon most Burnley supporters would rather have him over Brian Laws . Most lads i know want the Donny manager over him too. If anything we will play better football under him than we did Coyle. Just hope like Owen Coyle did though that he can also get the very best out of each and every player at the club because i think that was one of Coyles major strenths. If anybody saw us against Doncaster both times last season i think it would be fair to say they outplayed us football wise..
This is what I wrote under the Vital Burnley article: I suppose O'Driscoll does play the same style of entertaining attacking,to feet football as Coyle did and doesn't go for the hoof&hope approach. Donny certainly had the better of us last season too. I suppose if he can keep our style of play going and maybe introduce one or two other ideas we might be all right. Interesting times
Yes,but SoD (unfortunate acronym that!) is the clear favourite with the bookies and fans. Sky Sports think it will be him and BBC Radio Sheffield as article above indicates think its a done deal with only compensation package to sort out
Burnley paying out money for anybody or anything is always a sticking point. For what Bolton are going to pay out for Coyle should cover what Donny want for their man.
Here guys take a look at this done with no money we have never paid a million pounds for a player http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XR8L5QLtbVE
Just seeing the way you played in both games against us last season is good enough for me fella:Banana:
I would laugh all night if you chose Laws over SOD. Please do it. The whole of South Yorkshire would find it hilarious.
Didn't Laws manage to get the double over Shef U as well as Burnley last season (4 goals against us in each game)? I don't think he's that bad to be honest but I would prefer SoD by a country mile
Much wiser option then Brian Laws imo. If he is employed he'll keep you up this season but next season you'll almost certainly go down, just like Reading & Hull.
BBC website seems to suggest Brian Laws will be given a 2nd interview but if I were you guys of the two I'd rather have Donny's man (and that not just because we're playing the latter this weekend!")
I dont want him anywhere near the managers job just for the fact he turned us down before. Dont see why he should be given another chance and in the premiership when he's been sacked by Sheff Wed.
We also got 4 points from you last year. Just look at the last 6 months. O'Driscoll's done a smashing job, Laws - got the sack.
SO'D would be a good employment.. ..though, if Brian Laws gets it, I still can't decide what I could possibly do to make such a memorable moment unforgetable.
