Wonder if he will try and come in for some of your players IF we have the funds? read earlier that Irvine is desperate to sell so he can bring in some fresh faces. Lee Grant, Tommy Spurr, Marcus Tudgay, Matt Mills and Mark Beevers would be his favourites I think.
Matt Mills plays for Reading, having signed from Doncaster in the summer. Wouldn't be suprised to see Grant go to you. Tudgay was terrible under him this season. He never dropped him though, so he obviously rates him. Spurr hasn't been his usual self this season, but I think we'd still want a decent fee. I'd also expect us to want a high fee for Beevers. Despute not being the best defender atm, he still young and we're expecting good things of him in the future. Wouldn't want him to go for less than £2 Million.
Silly me Just watching the Liverpool v Reading game on tv now and some how associated him with your club.
Lee Camp is a good keeper and imo better than what we've got, also a lot younger than the Beast so we'd have a keeper for the future to, a good signing if we get him!
Sky sports are saying it was COYLE who was thinking about bringing the keeper in before he left for Bolton and Laws COULD make a move for him. so in other words their just guessing.
Ah ok, well i'm sure Laws knows alot better than Coyle if he's good enough or not since he's not so I guess we'll just have to wait and see
Is he the lad we had on loan a couple of seasons back. Not sure he's a lot better than Beast tbh. Wonder if Coyle will comeback in for his superb signing Penny then. Knows he made a bollocker with that one doesnt he
£1.5 Million. Is Laws being serious. He should know how much Laws is worth to us by the fact he single handedly kept his club in the division last season.
O'Driscoll sounds pretty peeved off tonight. Said pretty much that Burnley should have handled it a bit better and that he wouldn't walk out on us. Sounded like Burnley wanted him to resign and that's why he ultimately didn't go.
You mean the Forest keeper? I thought you were after Lee Grant? Your having a mare with names today aren't you Mikeyyyyy.
He was quality in his first season and seemed to shine alongside Richard Wood. His second season was dissapointing and he was dropped after his mistake at Watford. This season didn't really start well for him, due to not being in the first team. He's starting to pick up now and he's forming a decent partnership with Purse. I expect him to delevop into one of our better players, and certainly has the potential to play in the premiership. We'd want a high fee for him so we could strengthen in a few positions. I'd be dissapointed to see him go for less than £2 Million.
Grant is miles better! Really good keeper - seems to be being noticed by a lot of clubs now as well as England last season. He is the ONE player we REALLY don't want to see go. Our only player who has earnt his wage week-in week-out this season. Top keeper. EDIT : I forgot to add...teeheehee @ Laws.
Yes so they wouldnt have to pay for him that pathetic, yet very typical of our board. Then the board wonder why people get pissed off
