me neither. Sounds great. I'm a big Lord of the Rings fan. Read the books and seen the movies countless times. Same here now. Hope they don't bottle it.
Yeah they kinda need to make amends for The Hobbit movies which they screwed up I have hope for this though it's set before the Hobbit and will feature a young Lady Galadriel which should be cool.
Why do I get the feeling they're gonna try and go down the Game of Thrones route in terms of excessive sex, violence, etc?
Yeah I have a feeling they will after the success of GoT and to a lesser extent The Witcher hopefully it's more like the latter though
young Edward stark and benjen stark actors are 2 of the main protagonists by the looks of it. Lenny Henry’s in it!
Both are only down for 2 episodes on IMDb. People keep asking for a Robert's Rebellion based show staring the Young Ned guy, but other than us knowing too much about the story already, I doubt anyone who knows what they are talking about would want that guy as a main character. This show could be a good chance to show he has good acting skills beyond doing a good Sean Bean impersonation.
Shouldn't be too much of a big deal the UK has some beautiful scenery too. LOTR in New Zealand just feels right though.
Not sure on the plot just know it's set in the second age and Morgoth will be making an appearance at some point apparently.
That would be quite interesting considering how he is described in the stories. Assuming this will span over multiple ages then? I really hope they get this right considering what little material they have.
They don't have a lot of story material I agree but there is a fair bit of lore they can expand on. Morgoth for instance was the mentor to Sauron so if they're gonna loosely build a story around his rise to power it could be really good.
What I meant was truly nailing the character. Bloke was scarier and more powerful than Sauron. I mean, how do you top this? They have to get Benedict Cumberbatch to play Sauron.
Yeah it's gonna be tough to top it. I just can't wait to visit middle earth again. Think they're kinda going cheap on the cast though like game of thrones initially did (minus Sean Bean & a few others) Btw have you read The Simillarion?
