Agree with all of that. What pains me is he had to get to know the team and the best way to play. He did that and now he’s decided to switch things back to how we were approaching games when we were being beaten 5-0 by mid table teams after beating a club record run of being undefeated. I’m baffled by it. Stephens and Bazunu need to be shipped out as well. They aren’t good enough.
I've asked your opinion because you've been highly critical of any criticism of Russel Martin this season and as I suspected, you've not seen enough of his football to pass judgement you idiot.
I’d wager I’ve still watched more games Martin’s managed than you have and he’s managed your club for the best part of a season. Silly prick.
The difference in when we played you at Carrow Rd and now! We've gone in opposite directions. If you'd had offered us a point pre match we'd have taken that. The results elsewhere however don't help at all, 4pts above the drop zone now and our run in features Ipswich, Southampton, Leeds and Leicester. Makes the next few games against Swansea, Milwall and Plymouth huge! 1st half was controlled by Norwich but do think we created better chances when we got out of our half. Need to see a replay of the freekick award as looked dubious at the time but excellent execution (if questionable keeper positioning). 2nd half, especially after our goal felt we did better on the ball but created less. Norwich were tidy and well organised and caused problems when going forward. We needed to shut down Mclean better. However, on balance think a point was a fair result. 1st time we've picked up a point at home after going behind this season so that's something. Barnes got pelters from the fans but gave as good as he got.
We were f*cking shit yesterday in the first half. Had Swansea been 6-0 up I couldn’t have complained. We were woeful. Second half improved and we came close to a probably undeserved equaliser on the balance of play, but that’s 3 defeats on the spin now and our season is completely unravelling.
I didn't know a single Millwall fan who gave us a chance yesterday. Not even a 'if we play at our best and get a bit of luck maybe we can do it' type of chance. It was a case of take the 2-0 defeat and move on. Seems strange to say as I think we touched the ball about eight times in the second half, but I never felt too worried, bar that one save from Sarkic. One of the better away crowds I've been part of for a while too, positive and backed the team and the manager right from the start. Football, bloody hell.
Kind of annoying that we don't have a midweek fixture while we've hit good form. There's a ****ing international break next month too.
Great win for us. Made hard work of Rotherham but played well in the second half. First home win since falling behind at HT since 2021, apparently. Out of relegation ... until Leicester thrash us next week.
Good start for the new gaffer, nice to see him say he wasn't happy with a draw so went for the win and it paid off. Should be a cracking West Yorkshire Derby next week! Both teams going in with confidence.
I can't say I was too depressed to lose this TBH, it was a bad result for Wednesday along with wins for Millwall and Huddersfield. We have improved lately but injuries are starting to bite again, i just hope we can do you a favour next week, I've no problem going down I just want Wednesday to suffer with us, Petty i know but that's football fans for you.
