I'm not a fan of teams making big stylistic changes midway through a season, especially when the previous manager has been there a while and the squad is built in his image. When Millwall came to Portman Road in November it was clear the players weren't capable of playing Edwards' desired brand of football. Given how poor the bottom three were at the start of the year there was a lot of leeway for him to try new things and learn on the job. That would have been a huge advantage next season but the cushion above the relegation zone is far too close for comfort now.

I was banging the Nathan Jones drum when Rowett left, he'd have been ideal as a middle ground because he showed a lot of tactical variation between his spells at Luton.

We scored two from three shots on target in the first half. Across the Maidstone, Preston and West Brom matches, we conceded seven from nine. Our performances weren't vastly different, it was just a wildly different outcome.

Moore and Al-Hamadi add a lot to the side though. The fixture run is a real opportunity for us now.

Really pleased to see Ali get off the mark, hopefully give him a bit of confidence. Would be nice to get a bit of momentum going again.

Weird game last night ,we won, but it didnt really feel like we were winning while watching the game, a lot of tired looking players out there last night, we were lucky Boro were poor up front, on another day, we'd have lost that one comfortably.
Im still not a Lowe fan, but hes certainly learning from some of his past mistakes, now if only he can stop coming across as an idiot in his interviews, i might actually start to like him

Could hear the sigh of relief all the way over here.

Was following it every 5 minutes via text. Never again. It was mortifying.

Great win for Town. 2/3 for Worthy and unlucky not to get something from Soton last Saturday.

If we win on Saturday he'll have won just as many games as Moore in 4 games! Honestly still can't believe we hired him, worse manager than Fotheringham and it's totally shagged our season!

Anyway the shackles are off now, hopefully we give it Worthy until the end of the season to get us comfy mid-table and allow us to get the right man in for the owners future plans.

Squad is getting tested now. Potts out for a month. Hughes and Lindsay went off injured. Holmes and Best are still out. Whiteman went off too, but supposedly only a dead leg. I think Browne was touch and go to make last night too.

Time for the likes of Brady, Whatmough, and Cunningham to step up.

Yep, well done Huddersfield. We were abysmal all night.

A lot of our fans are blaming Beale and tactical decisions, but the players just looked like they could not be arsed all night. Probably one of the poorest performances from us all season. The closest we came was when your centre half nearly scored an own goal in injury time but it would’ve been very unjustified I think had we scored that.

Good luck for the rest of the season. Looks like you’ve turned it around and have enough to stay up. Unless we find some consistency, I think it’ll be mid-table mediocrity for us.

Cheers, I think we just wanted it more. The players being allowed to go past the half way line helps!

Think worthy will get the Hull game Saturday then the new gaffer will take over....announcement due later.

From what I heard, you deserved the win. We weren't very good. If Smyth had scored in the 3rd minute, maybe we do better but I dout it. Seems like we were well off it and reacted too late with you going 5 at the back.

3rd or 4th time we have bottled the win that would have taken us out of the relegation zone. I rate the manager and the new signings, but that stat doesn't bode well.

13 or so players are out of contract in the summer, so going down should be fairly good. What I mean by that is, a lot of these players got the last few managers the sack. Gone months without trying and we can lower the wage bill, and get players in with a fresh mindset and not going through the motions.

If we stay up, I worry we'll extend some of the players rather than using this as a perfect time for a reset (new manager, DOF, CEO etc, so ring in brand new players rather than players from a failed DOF).
