body language of the Spanish said it all to me after that last minute miss in my opinion .

it’s like they were resigned to losing . They looked like they were expecting to lose before even the shootout

If only Spain had an experienced midfielder who could open up defences.
    Glad he is rested, though.

Most teams would've struggled with the way morroco set up. England definitely even though ye have a much better front 3. England were lucky enough that Senegal were prepared to come out and then lose the ball high up or get caught upfield for all the goals I think. Pity I would've loved to have seen Spain England

Schadenfreude is great, Donny. I've done the same when seeing Spain lose. Had the same Schadenfreude yesterday when Japan was going out on penalties (similar bad penalty shooting as Spain ).
Good to see that their "mutual agreement" in the Spain vs Japan match didn't pay out ;) (nah, I don't think it was that but hey, I'm still not over this :D)

Oh dear. What a horrible set of penalties from the Spaniards, they should renege Ceuta and Melilla for them.

Lovely stuff from Morocco, superb from the keeper, he must be full of Pride.

Spain were the first team England beat in a shootout iirc?! Shame it was only the once!

Worry about penalty shootouts when you can advance to the knockout stage :pointlaugh

Btw Morocco are already favorites against either Portugal or Switzerland

That's a good result for England and France, as I could haveseen the Spaniards cause them both problems. Granted Morocco will be tough to break down, but they both have the firepower to do so.

Can't feel too sorry when Spain's manager is playing favourites, making decisions like playing the best DM in the world at CB to accommodate the lad from Barca who's been past it for 3 years, amongst others.

Excellent result. Spain's penalties were awful. I said pre-match if any of the last 16 games was to be a 0-0, then it would be this one nailed on. But I expected the Spanish players to have much more class with their pens than they did :hmmm

They flattered to deceive. Tbh I said that the main reason they thrashed Costa Rica is that CR are dogshit and predicted pens for this one, but still expected much more than they showed

Right, but you couldn't really call Spain a northern country, it is only a few miles from Morocco. Plus it is not hot for evening games in Qatar

You realise your adding to my argument right?

Ok only Germany (colder climate) have won World Cups in the southern hotter climates.

And Brazil only won in 1970 because Mexico is hot, it had nothing to do with their team being kinda good.
