    No, as I say it's not actually arrived on the dealer's site yet. The one in your link is a 1.7, not the same animal at all I'm afraid. The 1.9 [150] has a 0 - 60 time of 8.3 seconds, the 1.7 in your link takes 11.5 seconds. :no:

    I was determined to buy another make, but there's nothing out there that has any 'go' in it, so I'm back to looking at Astras. :slap:

    I traded in my GSI for a SXI around November

    Got a nice deal because they were getting rid of the old stock before the new one came out.

    If you don't mind not having the current model have a look around & see what ones they have laying around might get a decent discount.

    How do the Golfs compare? Something like a 1.9 TDI 2007 model you could get for about £6 grand and I believe thats around the 9 second mark.
