I think it's clear the game is up now, but it was a very entertaining morning, so thank you @Hull lad
That's exactly what's happened here. Oh well, for a thread that should really have been aborted it's massively exceeded expectations already.
He went out the way he lived, lying through his teeth and then trying to make out as if it was intentional. Let's have a minutes silence for whichever PBM @Hull lad was.
Amazing thread. Hull Lad is a bit special eh. Ps frannies tache, brilliant work calling out the bullshit
Honestly, i have loved every minute of this World Cup, will be gutted when it is over. It is a WC which has had everything. Exciting games - Spain v Portugal, Argentina v France, Belgium v Japan New stars on show (England's team, Mbappe, Cheryshev) Upsets and shock results - Spain v Russia, Belgium v Brazil, Argentina v Croatia, Mexico v Germany A good amout of goals - Around 160 so far i think, close to 171 at both France 98 and Brazil 14 and with 4 more games to come yet too. England doing well (makes a nice change!) Potential for a new winner of tournament in either Belgium or Croatia which is always great compared to how bland domination of 1/2 teams in domestic European leagues has become. And finally both games today were great to watch, we are talking about the football on show not the diving, cheating and shithousery now that all the South American sides (especially Brazil and Colombia being the worse 2) are out Loved every minute so far, even the games that have gone to pens such as Russia v Croatia and England v Colombia have had goals and havent been drab 0-0s like in South Africa 8 years ago.
A good thing about it is it's actually got me interested in international football again. I'd lost interest in it after that Euros and hadn't watched a single international game between the Euros final and the opening game of this World Cup. It's painful to watch England in weak qualifying groups which doesn't help and frankly i'd lost any interest or excitement in England under Hodgson and then the appointment of Allardyce made that worse. It's been a good tournament though and there's an England team worth getting behind again for the first time since the Germany 5-1 or even Euro 96 tournament wise. It needs a good final to elevate it to classic World Cups of the 70s and 80s (every final since 1986 has been shit). I'd put it up there with France '98 at this point but that was a better tournament quality wise with better teams. The drama and excitement of this World Cup has been the best i've seen. I've loved the unpredictability of it and the competitiveness of the games. It's actually club football i'm more sick of watching at the top level with pre-determined, predictable results and outcomes.
