Or would he have tried to make members suspicious of others being the Daddy whilst being the daddy himself?

Agreed - internationals for far too many years have just been politics & injuries...
this one has been refreshing to watch - probably because so many of the cheating
sides are out, as well as the small matter of England's progress. However, given the
location, there is always the possibility some unpleasant politics are still to make an
    appearance - hope not.

Have loved every second of the competition. Three matches a day for the first week or so was heaven and seen some real shocks with Germany going out after only three games which was their worst showing since that man Hitler decided he wanted to start World War 2. How anyone cannot enjoy a tournament that is full of drama and won't happen for another four years is beyond me. Go and enjoy your cricket and bowls now we are almost done and dusted. Never mind Wales as usual were not there, still love the World Cup even if it has cost me a small fortune in bets going tits up. For all the shit FIFA get they still bring us the greatest sporting event on earth.

    ;)

From an FF point of view it's brought well over 15,000 posts to the site and kept us ticking over through what would otherwise have been a month of not very much at all.

A lot of high quality football and some cracking goals.

Plus the usual drama - both good and bad.

    Helped by England doing well.

    Overall an enjoyable World Cup.
