Agree, if you are going just to boo United players then stay at home. Maguire was guilty of the assist that handed Bilbao the lead, but then got the assist for Pellistri's well taken equaliser in the last minute. Overall I don't think we learned anything; Maguire's not good enough, Wan-Bissaka has nothing going forward, Eriksen has no pace, van der Beek is enthusiastic but poor, Sancho isn't a 'false 9' etc. etc. Mejbri looked strong when he came on, and Emeran looked decent. Bilbao played city football, very high press, a condensed back line and everytime you get past them they foul you with a niggly pull or trip, the difference being that the referee had the balls to send off Paredes for a ridiculous foul. Finished 1 - 1 in front of a sell-out 50,238.
Sadly we're doing both. Manchester United will be returning to the United States this summer to play a series of matches against top-tier opposition in preparation for the men’s first team’s 2024/25 season. These will include meetings with two of United’s biggest and most historic Premier League rivals, with Arsenal the opponent in Los Angeles, and Liverpool in Columbia, South Carolina. It will be the second consecutive year that Manchester United’s men’s first-team squad has toured in the US, providing another opportunity for the club’s large and passionate US fanbase to see the team live. Last summer, United played four tour games across four states in front of a total 235,168 fans, including a sold-out game against Arsenal in New Jersey, and the club is expecting similar high demand this summer.
