    He came back to us when we were ailing and made us a decent team again, a team that people wanted to watch and play for. In football terms I think he was a genius and as a man he was clearly an absolute gent. RIP

    A true sporting legend, I'll never forget both the 1986 and especially the 1990 World cup campaign's.

    I really thought we were going to do it, as did the whole country and although we lost on penalties, the whole tournament left me and the country with pride that we were back up there mixing it with the best.

    RIP Bobby.

    Sad news just in, Bobby Robson has died.

    He was 76 and had a long battle with cancer.
