Dan Mooney's downward spiral continues, shame, there is a player there, just didn't really fit into our system, then the bad injury didn't help him either.

I wonder if either Boston or Tamworth will show any interest?

You can bet after today's news [see finances thread], that we won't be releasing one, but notifying the league directly by start of June as per last season.

Nicky Featherstone re-signs for next season in a player coach position in what'll be his 11th season with Pools, probably won't play much but seems like the logical next step for him.

All change at Pools with new coaching team. Glad he is staying on.

Really hope Sweens gets fixed up somewhere, he probably could use a change of scene.

    Retained under contract:
    Sean Adarkwa
    Brandon Mason

    Agreed new contracts:
    Jack Cook
    Mason Barrett
    Kallum Cesay
    Luke Dreher
    Trae Cook-Appiah
    Deon Woodman

    Club triggered extension options:
    Charlie Barker
    Micah Obiero

    Ongoing discussions:
    Max Kretzschmar
    Dillon De Silva
    Jaydn Mundle-Smith
    Tarryn Allarakhia
    Alex Dyer
    Dominic Hutchinson
    Declan Phillips

    Returned to parent club:
    Sam Bowen
    Aaron Henry
    Charlie Seaman
    Jack Young
    Tobi Adeyemo
    Kyle Smith

Unable to agree new terms / Released:
    Jaiden Bartolo
    Manny Duku
    Corie Andrews
    Marcus Dewhurst
    Nathan Ferguson

Shame about Dewhurst going, but not fussed about the others released. Fully expect JMS and Tarryn Allarakhia to move elsewhere as a minimum. Would quite like to see De Silva and Hutchinson retained, the latter really hasn't had a fair crack of the whip since signing a couple of years ago.

I liked the look of De Silva in pre season, definitely raw, but quick and in your face.

I reality 3 players released then. Wiggle hasn't got much room, but it's pretty much as we thought

Indeed. For that reason I can see us trying to offload a couple regardless of the contract situation. There's also Frecks and Tyrer to replace.

Yea I make it, including the new lad, assuming Madden happens and Tyrer/other, we're carrying 22 players in a league with a 22 man squad maximum. Although I have a funny feeling GKs don't count, if that's the case then we have room for 2 new additions as it stands. I think Cook would want at least 3 in defence alone, so might be looking to offload

Whilst Dewhurst had some great moments, he has a weakness in the air and doesn’t command his box.

Torquay fans lambasted him, but he did well for us.
