To be fair England were the better team. Anyway the only loss that really matters in the last year was the world cup semi. The whole six nations is like an anti climax after that world cup that should've been won or at least seen us get to the final

Real high quality performance from England today. I'd normally accept being behind to Ireland just on the back of them being much better than us but it was really annoying to see all of our hard work being undone when we had been the better side. We deserved the win over the course of the 80 mins and the ending just showed why it is always Union over League

So I was right with my prediction, it seems!

And it was Scotland who took the defeat against Italy although in all seriousness, barring their defeat to Ireland, the Italians have actually competed much better this year than any other year. Should have beaten France as well and some would argue deserved more out of the England game

Not watched today's game but Wales have been poor this tournament. Losing Rees-Zammit is a big loss but the rest have not stood up to be counted apart from the odd periods (2nd half against Scotland for example).

Not sure if they're transitioning and have some good young players coming through but it could be a harsh few years for Wales rugby fans

just on the way home and listened to the Irish media talking about how Ireland didn't match up physically or emotionally.

i honeslty wonder sometimes about the depth of analysis these guys actually do even though these are supposed experts.

I could see that result from the last two games. England's game was improving, all the aspects expected were coming like the line speed, defensive strength and set piece.

I watched Ireland v Wales and saw Wales implode in the set piece yet Ireland really struggled with their line speed and tackling.

what happened at Twickenham was not a shock. it is a rude awakening for the Irish media who have been very blaize about winning and being world no 1 etc.

Ireland were predictably throwing 4 and 5 passes to go the distance 2 would do trying as usual to get a mismatch or gap to go to and England's line speed saw those passes getting hammers on receipt and behind the line.

fair play to Ireland they stuck in and got in front but they stupidly kicked the ball away and hadn't got the energy to defend. a rotten box kick clearance rather than taking 4 or 5 phases gave England a set piece opportunity off the throw and 2 mins to have a go.

it's all about momentum and England have been building up since the first or second game and for the first real time went genuinely wide and cut Ireland up.

Ireland have been hanging on after a huge starting game and tbh have lost a fee and have a few half fit.

Rugby here is considered a minor sport, no one watches it except in the last few days lol I've never seen random people talking about rugby and waiting for the next match as it were football lol

Who knows if we have seriously improved or it's just a case.

Not a great year for Wales  your young team needed more time to gel before this :(

You know you have hit rock bottom when Italy come here and are winning by a decent margin.

    Wooden spoon awaits.

Italy have been excellent yet again. The progress they appear to have made in the last 12 months is miraculous

It's the start of a 4 year cycle, so the poor one is out of the way. The crazy thing is, if we could play for more than 40 mins in each match, we could have won 3 games.
