Am i dreaming or is the scudetto in Roma's hands? What's next Julio Baptista over taking Messi as the best player in the world?

Ideally we need Inter to knock out Barca to keep them focused on Europe and for Juventus to actually play like Juventus in next weeks Derby D'Italia.

Just watch Lazio bugger it all up though.

I hope Roma can keep up this good form...Inter should've had it wrapped up weeks ago, it's their own fault they're sitting in second place now.

Roma came from behind to beat Lazio 2-1 and Roma's keeper even saved a penalty.

Milan are certainly out of it now losing at Sampdoria and will even struggle for 3rd at this rate.

    Bari 1-2 Napoli
    Cagliari 2-2 Palermo
    Catania 2-2 Siena
    Chievo 2-0 Livorno
    Inter 2-0 Juventus
    Lazio 1-2 Roma
    Parma 2-3 Genoa
    Sampdoria 2-1 Milan
    Udinese 1-1 Bologna

    Roma 71
    Inter 70
    Milan 64
    Sampdoria 57
    Palermo 55
    Napoli 52
    Juventus 51

Di Natale Udinese 24 (5 pens)
    Milito Inter 19 (4)
    Miccoli Palermo 16 (5)
    Gilardino Fiorentina 15 (1)
    Pazzini Sampdoria 15 (2)
    Borriello Milan 14 (1)
    Vucinic Roma 13 (2)

Great win for Roma! I thought it was all over after an absolutely terrible first half, don't know if they were injured but Ranieri took off both De Rossi and Totti at half time but it certainly worked as Taddei and Menez who came on won the penalty and free kick.

For me Julio Sergio has to be a real contender for player of the season, he's been at Roma for four seasons now but didn't make his debut until earlier this season and since then he has been fantastic. How crucial could that penalty save be?

Outstanding stuff from Roma i have to say, wasnt really a fan of them prior to this season but they have really won me over the last few months with just how well they have played.

Ranieri does deserve a major trophy, here is hoping he can do it, especially with all the allegations surrounding Inter at the moment and Moratti.

Have looked at the fixtures and I think Inter have it slightly easier. There toughest game is Lazio away while Roma have Sampdoria at home and Parma away. Although hopefully the Champions League will distract Inter.

I think 4th place will come down to whoever wins when Samp and Palermo play each other, I can't really see Juve or Napoli catching up.

I still think Inter will win it, Roma will surely drop point against Sampdoria or Parma, they just have been winning too much and its bound to stop :P

What a substitution by Ranieri then, taking off Totti and De Rossi, wow.

i actually think that if Barca were to give Inter say a 2-0 defeat on their own patch tonight, it would benefit Roma immensely.

I think with Inter putting all their effort into this great Champions League surge, if they were to suffer a defeat tonight and then subsequently lose the tie (imo Inter have to avoid defeat tonight to stand a chance of beating Barca) then the Inter players could be completely lost mentally and their confidence would take a pasting.

If Roma can beat Sampdoria, then imo they will go on to win it, and i think they will too, Samp arent all that away from home, they lost to Bari only a few weeks back, and funnily enough even though Samp are my favorite Italian team i want Roma to win this as i dont really want Samp to finish 4th in the table as they would have to play a good team in the Champions League qualifier and would end up losing. Plus i also want Roma to win the title too.

As long as Roma overcome this hurdle this weekend, i think they will go on to win the title imo

i honestly dont know what to feel.

Ranieri is just doomed to finish 2nd eternally, Roma from what i saw were the better side and deserved to win the game yet cruelly they dont get the result tonight and that is football, still 3rd looking a great possibility for Samp now which would be awesome, Del Neri as the new manager of the year, what a job he has done in Genoa.

The only hope for Roma now is Inter have to go to Lazio next week, that is the one fixture where they can slip up and Lazio have upped their results in recent weeks, problem is they are virtually safe now, and the last thing they would want is Roma to win. Even if Lazio get a draw vs Inter, their goal difference is so much superior. Then again a win next week would totally ensure safety for Lazio, so i doubt they will take it easy.

Its all over now Inter will win the league.

Its a real shame Roma losing for two reasons, the first Inter will now win the title and secondly Milan are only 4 points ahead of Samp now with 3 games left. 3rd is the last automatic champs league place and with Milans form and injury crisis we really could lose our last 3 games at home to Fiorentina, away at Genoa and the final game of the season at home to Juve.

    Bologna 2-1 Parma
    Fiorentina 0-2 Chievo
    Genoa 1-2 Lazio
    Inter 3-1 Atalanta
    Juventus 3-0 Bari
    Livorno 3-1 Catania
    Napoli 0-0 Cagliari
    Palermo 3-1 Milan
    Roma 1-2 Sampdoria
    Udinese 4-1 Siena

    Inter 73
    Roma 71
    Milan 64
    Sampdoria 60
    Palermo 58
    Juventus 54
    Napoli 53

What a gutting result, Roma were brilliant in the first half should have been at least three up. The second half was slighty more even but there is no way they deserved to loose.

I just can't see Inter slipping up now.

:duke Qouting myself :D But just as I thought, Roma dropped points, they have really overachieved and I always felt they have won too many games in a row if u know what I mean. Inter is just far better overall to not win the title, just look at their squad and manager. It was a very good go by Roma though, well done :P

i think we are going to win at the last match siena-inter. Roma is really a dangerous team we have always to pay attention.

Hats off to Roma today, 2-1 win at Parma means they still have a chance of the title, and they put the pressure on Inter, though if anyone thinks that Lazio are gonna be happy to help out their city rivals tomorrow vs Inter they must be smoking something. The Lazio fans will probably cheer for Inter!

Even if Lazio bust a gut it is looking like Inter's title now, though it will go to the last day imo and hats off to Roma for taking it this far when 2 and a half months ago there was more chance of going to Pluto tomorrow then the possibility of a title race.

Same old story, though. They have a great winning run, finally catch up with Inter and go top and then get beat. It was in their hands and they blew it.

Ranieri really is the nearly man and hard-luck story of management, and he's up against the ultimate winner in Mourinho, so I guess there was only ever going to be one winner.

I really wanted Ranieri to win the league this year, he deserves it for what he has done at Roma this season, they looked down and deflated when Spaletti left the club, but now they look revitalized and if anyone had said before the start of the season they would be challenging Inter for the title i would have laughed at them.

Tbf to them blowing the title, Samp are a good side and there was always the chance that Samp would beat them last week, even at the olimpico. But it was pretty gutting for them to have it in their own hands and then blow it.

So Juve can longer qualify for the Champions League, i'm pleased as they have been so awful for most of the season it would have been an injustice if they got there.

I quite like both Palermo and Sampdoria but i think i'm going to route for Palermo. Miccoli, Cavani and Pastore are a fantastic front three, plus thier pink shirts are cool!
