Anything to say on this now @Tornado? :D

He's not always been perfect, and his mind seems to wander at times, but I don't think we can knock his commitment along with some really strong performances

Yeah, have to admit he really turned up when it mattered.

But my point was more towards what he did.

    Looking forward to next Season!!

So who's on the wishlist boys? For me:

2 GKs (Hendo permanent hopefully, a better back up than Hennessey if Horvath is off)

    Lodi
Wouldn't mind bringing one of Matty Cash or Djed Spence back to provide competition in the wing back position
    Another pacy center half perhaps

A younger version of Kouyate perhaps in CM (Doucoure if Everton go down perhaps)

Maybe a competent center forward to challenge/cover Taiwo, think Surridge will be off to the champ.

Am hoping we don't sign much more than 5/6, quality over quantity needs to be the name of the game this time and no more Newcastle cast offs!

Anyway, thought we might as well get this underway again now we are safe. We shouldn't be upsetting all the right people this summer with the numbers signed like last summer as we now have a core to build around so I'd expect limited incomings this summer for us.

GK - This is a key position to be sorted this summer - Hendo looks favourite to be signed but we are already being linked with a number of other keepers including the current Monaco number 1. Not sure what will happen with the number 2 spot, presumably Hennessey will keep it but we have Horvarth due back from Luton as well!

DEF - I think the main focus will be on the full back positions, particularly the left side. That mystery signing we made from Bayern is still about apparently so maybe he will come in next season but I think I'd be happy to see Lodi signed on a perm at the right price. Lodi and Richards fighting it out seems pretty decent to me on paper with Toffolo there as well with some decent performances in the 2nd half of the season.

MID - Not sure much needs to be done with the midfield. I guess Scarpa hasn't played much owing to his personal issues back in Brazil so he will be like a new signing next season anyway, plus maybe O'Brien to return to the fold?

FOR - Just a back up striker needed I think for Awoniyi - sounds like Surridge is being touted for a loan move next season from what I have seen today and I'm not sure any of us want to see Wood and Ayew again :D

In terms of outgoing this summer, this could be interesting. I believe we finally get rid of Arter so he's going to have to find another club to fleece and early rumours suggest Cook and Surridge will be shipped out. Not sure what will happen with Shelvey but if rumours are true his relationship with Cooper is done but I presume we are now stuck with Wood for next season after that ridiculous deal was made.

I reckon a Centre Back is definitely required. Experienced Prem Defender who will keep things organised. There were too many occasions when attacking players were finding too much space or showed lack awareness.

Taiwo really did turn up, eh? Amazing impact but a Striker with some press would be good.

If Felipe is staying, I don't see a CB as being a priority. Worrall struggled when in a back 3 because he was being pulled out to the full back position and being rinsed by fast wingers but in a back 5 he is much better. We maybe need decent cover but we still have McKenna who I still rate!

As for the striker position, I think it's natural to want a back up who offers something different to the main striker so it gives you tactical options. Not sure if it is someone who presses or someone who can work the channels with some pace

Lingard, Andre Ayew, Cafu, Jack Colback, Jordan Smith and Lyle Taylor have all been released.

Henderson and Navas Loans have ended.

I'm sure a Keeper is on the agenda.

Aurier is with us for another year, great news, we need good steady pros like him and Felipe to help us get us established.

I wish super Jack all the best, he'll still do a job for someone in the league below imo, good luck to Cafu who was a great pro and Smudge will always have eternal gratitude for his long service and vital save against Ipswich.

Can't argue with any of the released list from the senior squad to be honest, although surprised to see a couple of the youth team players names on the list.

Taylor, Cafu & Colback will be legends for the parts they played in the promotion season and there has been some save replayed on twitter all day that Jordan Smith made......not sure what that is all about though ;) :D

The reality is that we have moved on from a lot of the squad players and need to be creating better back up players so these decisions are correct for me.

Happy to see Serge sign on for another year and hoping the next big news is Hendo signing on a perm

well this proved true. Unbelievable player.
and who would’ve expected this to be one of our best signings too?

    Agree with priorities above.

GK - hopefully Henderson, but depending on what else happens with horvath etc we may need a back up too
LB - unlikely Lodi signs due to personal reasons
Left winger - we have the likes of Dennis etc but no winger like Johnson, this is a priority for me.
Forward - relying on Taiwo won’t work and he will miss some games due to the Africa cup. I think wood will b
be decent and Dennis may still give us something but I imagine surridge isn’t sold so we are limited either way.

Apparently you are signing Chris Wood for 15 million .

Guess the jury is out on him as he got injured not long after joining on loan ?

Good solid player if fit but worth that much ?

That was the ridiculous part of the loan deal so it's been confirmed for a while. Basically, if rumours are to be believed, we signed him on loan with a clause that if he played 3 matches for us (yes, 3) we had to sign him for £15m at the end of the season. A terrible deal for us, Newcastle had our pants down with this and they even had the nerve to throw Shelvey in as well just to make it worse

Jury isn't out for me, he was a big part of our downturn in form after January. If you want to play 4-4-2 with 2 wingers to put loads of crosses into the box, then I'm sure he'd offer something but he doesn't suit the setup Coops is going for. Doesn't hold the ball up very well and seems to struggle to link up with the midfielders behind him.

I'm certainly hoping we bring in a proper backup for Awoniyi and that Wood just becomes that alternative option off the bench for when we are chasing a result late on and just want to go long!

He doesn't seem to even exist anymore. It's all been very strange, I'm pretty sure the last update we had was that he'd got back to on pitch training but then nothing else, and that was a fair few months ago.

Think he had another set back but little has been shared. He was the one I was looking forward to seeing most when he signed.

Hopefully he's back soon so we can see where he's at.

Reid returns to Forest coaching staff

Steven Reid back, great news as he was abig part of our success in the promotion season and I think Coops is abit light in the coaching department so it's great he's getting more help.

Shame letting Johnson go. Decent money I suppose. Hudson-Odoi potential replacement and Sangare from PSV.

    Johnson has been brilliant.
