Off to the AO again today, got.tickets for the day session again in the RLA. If it's half as good as the first three hours on Thursday I'll be happy. Interesting that Collins' form coincided with the roof being open and closed. She played OK at the start, was like a woman possessed when it started raining and the roof closed and then fell apart when it opened again. The fa t the I was in close proximity to some very loud yanks made Swiatek's comeback all the swiater (see what I did there?)

Also seeing Alcarez again and from Thursday's showing he's got a lot to improve on if he's going to challenge Novak next week (if he gets that far)

Cam Norrie keeping the British flag flying with a good win v the ghostly Ruud.

Well I presume he counts as one of ours when he is successful!

    Such a shame, R.I.P.

Always reminds me of the dreaded yellow tennis ball with a red letter R in the top corner of the screen. You get in, want to watch a bit of Wimbledon and you see that dreaded R on the screen and you knew there was a rain delay. Reminds me of coming home from school in the 90s. Was even more annoying if it was sunny at home.

We ran round to the arena where he was playing as soon as the Alcaraz fiasco finished but it was already packed. Gutted we had to miss that one so we went to court 3 and watched a rubbish women's doubles game instead. Ended up going home after the first set to watch Norrie on the TV as the park was full of pissheads..

Is Norrie another Greg Rusedski? Born in South Africa and lived there for the first three years of his life, moved to New Zealand for fifteen years and then studied in the States, but he has (strangely) got an English accent so that'll do me..

Not sure if you mean Novak or Carlos there? Novak is making the Final easily judging by his last 2 matches. Wonder if he finds it boring winning so easily? Boring as **** to watch. Done watching him in this AO - far too easy for him and that is not a criticism of him but I just want to watch an exciting game with him in it!!!!

Tougher tests than expected for Djokovic and Gauff.

Will be a late one for Sinner and Rublev.

    Not even started yet !

Local time here in Melbourne is 22:10 and Zverev and Alcaraz are just warming. Strap in folks because this could be a late one.

    Maybe not ?

Zverev 2 sets and a break up !

But CA won the 3rd after Zverev was serving for the match so has the game swung momentum?!

Finished at 01:20 local so wasn't that late, although late enough for me to be sound asleep by then. So Alcaraz is out, I didn't see that coming, and that ladies and gentlemen, has played right into the hands of number 25 for Novak because unless Meddy plays out of his skin I can't see anyone stopping him..

No although Sinner has beaten Djokovic recently but Novak just knows how to get it done .

Dissapointing that alcaraz is out. Took too long toget going in his match. Maybe it was the lack of playing time and easy matches compared to zverev who was on court 5 hours longer in tougher matches. To be fair zverev played very well but I don't think he has the confidence or consistency to beat djokovic if he meets him now. I think only Medvedev could do that if he's on form

Have t watched much of the tournament other than the Brits stuff but get the **** in!!! Piss off Novax brilliant tournament from Sinner.

That's also the first time ever Djokovic has failed to win a break point in a grand slam match.

I said at the end of last season Sinner had gone up a level and I wouldn't be surprised to see him win a slam this year. Will make the final much more interesting, for me.

I thi k he has got a lot of fans in this thread, but honestly thought it would be another couple of years before he started winning slams. He still has to win the final, and, ignoring this result, I'd probably expect the other semi final winner to take it, but destroying Djokovic like that must give you a massive confidence boost.

Women’s final today was poor due to it being so one sided. Zheng didn’t face a top 50 player en route to the final and it showed.

I thought his best chance would be Wimbledon. Mevedev could beat him but the extra hours on court is an advantage for Sinner.
