I saw her on the Thursday against Wong, shittest game of tennis I've ever seen live, I said to the wife the final will be a car crash.

Doing that in your first slam final against a player like Medvedev is incredible. Deserves all the plaudits coming his way.

Am I the only one in thinking that Medvedev looks about 47? No wonder he got tired in the fifth set, it was way past his bed time..

Murray needs to do a final ceremonial Wimbledon then retire. His legs have utterly gone.

No shame in it given what he's been through but aye the writing is on the wall now. After watching his documentary on Amazon Prime, called Resurfacing (highly recommended btw), he said in that he was always going to retire at Wimbledon.

Yeah I think the time has come. He's just lost to Paire who hasn't won an ATP level match since 2022. Seems like his legs have gone and he just can't maintain his level any more. So many times he wins the first set and still loses. No shame as you say. But I think it's reached the point now where it's not just the impact of his injuries that's affecting him, it's age too. Time to finish at Wimbledon then step aside and leave his tournament slots open to someone younger who can make better use of the opportunity.

Surprised nobody has mentioned that Murray joined an elite group of players in Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Agassi the other day in reaching 500 hard court wins.

Very bad news for Murray .

This injury wouldn’t be good for anyone let alone someone coming to the end of their career .

Nasty one to recover fully from .

    surely thats it though?

I mean i'm sure he'd like to bow out on a court and wave bye to fans somewhere in wimbledon but he'd have to work to get back for next year with that?

Seems a strange one - if he felt as bad suggested surely should have not started the match ?

He's full of mad dog shit mate, glancing blow, and also unlikely that the bottle was full was it at end of a long match? Reminds me of some of the footy players in top class football nowadays, went down like he'd been hit with an anvil ffs:laugh:
