Watching Stewart Donald and Charlie methven try to run a football club is guaranteed hilarity, think I've watched both season's 3 times at least. Spurs with mourinho and Dele Alli was class.
I actually felt sorry for Donald. He seemed like a genuine bloke who just wanted the best for the club and the fans. Clearly a bit out of his depth though. Charlie was a total bellend. I've worked for people like him so I could really feel their employees' pain every time he came in with one of his 'blue sky' ideas or unrealistic demands. Bet they were delighted when he finally left.
Murder In The Pacific. The story of the bombing in New Zealand of the boat Rainbow Warrior that Green Peace owned. Brilliant watch on BBC.
The Lost Century. Basically it's about the patents for inventions that have been suppressed by the big players in the energy field. Really interesting and sometimes shocking reveals.
Tour de France: Unchained - 8.1/10 I couldn't be any less enthusiastic about cycling but I thoroughly enjoyed this. I would imagine it's the cycling version of that F1 show on Netflix, that it's effectively "cycling for dummies". I found myself really routing for a few of them. Any show that can make cycling look interesting deserves praise. It was really impressive to see the level of athleticism and bravery to win.
The Curious Case of Natalia Grace. Discovery Plus This has to be seen to be believed ,it really does, so many twisted and totally immoral people masquerading as a caring family unit it truly beggars belief.
How the actual **** did she pass as a six year old when she's clearly an adult. More American nonsense..
Similar to the Barbora Skrlova case who pretended to be a boy child, & on whom the movie Orphan was inspired by. This looks really interesting.
Watch it mate ,you wont believe what unfolds ,if her birth certificate is correct then it's one of the most disgraceful cases of neglect and abuse and America should hang it's head in shame at the outcome. I started watching it with the same mindset as yourself ,but f*ck me the cracks start to show quickly.
Fred Dibnah - Steeplejack [1979] BBC4 The original BBC documentary about Fred Dibnah that led to a long and unlikely career as a TV presenter/historian. Bizarrely Fred went to Art School before becoming the nerveless lunatic made famous repairing and/or dropping the huge mill chimneys that were landmarks of the industrial revolution and the cotton industry. Mad as a box of frogs, a man who lived his life how he wanted and for whom (with hindsight) Health and Safety was just something that concerned other people. Brilliant.
Kenny. Kenny Dalglish talks about his family, life as a player and then manager plus very moving interview about Hillsborough. Very touching seeing Kenny filling up. A side of him never seen before as was and is a very private man. Brilliant watch of a true legend.
Stephen Curry: Underrated Great documentary covering mostly his college years when very few people believed anyone his size could have any impact in the NBA or even at college level. Curry comes a across as a genuine great guy and so does his college coach, no real drama, just a bunch of honest hard working people from a small college in Charlotte. Brought a smile to my face
Firebombers. Story of the campaign by Welsh extremists who set holiday homes on fire that were owed by English families across Wales in the late 70's and 80's to drive them out.
That Peter Crouch Film If you have followed his career, then there is nothing to see here. He has revealed more about himself in his podcasts.
Harlan county USA - 1970's documentart about miners strike. Excellent . 9/10 Grizzly man - pretty infamous documentary 9/10 Crumb - Amazing portait of a comic artist 9/10
Going through a few of the greatest ever documentaries lists, seen a lot of them but some are worth a re-watch. I recommend others doing the same a lot of incredible documentaries out there.
HATTON : ( Sky Documentaries ) Really good watch , I knew between fights he'd balloon up in weight etc... but I didn't realise him / trainer / family had so many deep rooted issues & doc showed from his time as a teenager up until now & was quite deep but with some funny moments especially Mayweather Jr in a Man U top getting taunted by 100's of City fans in Manchester & in the rain , good stuff .
First Contact: An Alien Encounter. On BBC 2 download. What would happen if we actually did discover something alien. How would we react in the first few days. Is an interesting watch.
