That was obvious bait, which elicited the only post in this thread from a Celtic fan that week. The next week you lot were back to swarming the thread saying he'd be sacked by Christmas. Funny as f#ck.
Beating Hearts at home isnt a sign of anything... When they turn up and compete with us I might take them serious but untill then performances against the rest of the league don't matter, yes we come in and have a laugh every now and then when the bubble bursts but if you lived up here and listened to local radio station phone ins and read articles by Scottish football journalists regarding Gerrard then you would completely understand. It was only a week ago McGregor saved them from getting a humping at the hands of newly promoted Livingston, yet after beating Hearts its all the we are coming, the Legaues ours, Gerrard's has one up on Rodgers. We even had a journalist, one of the main ones in Scottish football write an article about how Gerrard has shown he is better than Rodgers this season and how Rodgers is playing catch up to Gerrard all because Rangers beat a very poor Rapid side in Europe and Celtic lost to last years semi finalists who are 18 points ahead of Rapid in their league after only 9 games. It's this sort of idiotic shit that fuels our laughter.
Aye and you're the only guy on here that's bright enough to put out 'bait'. I'll repeat though, if we had shown the form of the last two seasons against the other teams his league challenge would be over already, he's a lucky man in that respect. Whilst he has improved them (and i'd have fancied myself to do that his points total was the same last week as their past two managers who were labelled donkeys, don't believe the hype) What happens in the future is a different story but we're commenting on the here and now.
Exactly, its our own bad form this season from a team unlike Rangers proven to win Leagues and cups that has them even thinking they are close to us, although apart from Today's game the game agsint them was our most straight forward of the league campaign.
We've had our worst start in many years, smashed Rangers and are two points in front of them. The Rodgers effect We've rightly been criticised for our start (and people from this country wont know to what extent we come under fire) yet weare two points above them there seems to be a 'Gerrard effect'.
This quote is doing a roaring trade over Aberdeen accounts on Twitter. The messiah after winning at Aberdeen in August, humility and dignity all rolled into one. . Sky Sports ScotlandVerified account@ScotlandSky REACTION "Aberdeen didn't have any idea against us...we showed today we are a class above Aberdeen."
The Rangers support starting to ask questions of him now. . . . Starting to feel the heat? matt mcglone on Twitter
Gerrard bemoaning the fact that teams aren't coming out and playing against them. Well that's why you're the manager, you have to combat that and find a way to break them down. We have won seven titles with teams playing that way against us home and away. I've looked at the December fixtures and that will be a very big month for him.
Wonder why Gerrard didn't want to talk about sectarianism? If he was at any other club in the UK he would have given his opinion on recent events. Best not to upset the natives though and call it out.. . .pathetic. Ciaran JenkinsVerified account@C4Ciaran Steven Gerrard just pulled out of #C4News interview. Told by personal staffer- not Rangers- we couldn’t ask certain questions including about Neil Lennon and sectarianism. Then she disappeared. Been waiting for him here for hours. Nobody even told us in person it was off. Ciaran JenkinsVerified account@C4Ciaran 1h1 hour ago Interview was arranged through maker of new film about Steven Gerrard’s life. Minutes before he was supposed to arrive I was told by Gerrard’s representative what he would and would not talk about. We had an amicable chat. She went off. Not seen her since. Ciaran JenkinsVerified account@C4Ciaran 1h1 hour ago Steven Gerrard’s representative told me in no uncertain terms he would not talk about the attacks on Neil Lennon or the current discussion around sectarianism in Scottish football. It was suggested I ask him in general terms what it’s like to be manager of Rangers. Ciaran JenkinsVerified account@C4Ciaran 59m59 minutes ago There’s a section in the Steven Gerrard film in which some Liverpool fans call him judas and traitor over a proposed move to Chelsea. It’s one of the clips the makers sent us in advance. So assume he would have been anticipating questions about vitriol in football. Ciaran JenkinsVerified account@C4Ciaran 1h1 hour ago We agreed interview would mostly be about issues featured in the film. I said I’d like to explore what Steven Gerrard’s wife says about him being an emotional person. I was told not to reference his wife directly and instead say ‘in the film it says you’re an emotional person.’
Go onto Twitter. . . Plenty. Go onto the journos page. Plenty. Also everyone that wants to call it out.
