Just out of curiosity has anyone on here ever married a foreign national? I have been communicating with a girl on skype for several months and she came over to see me at Xmas. She is Trindidian mixed with everything that Island has to offer. She is stunning however she now wants me to come to her country and marry her. Fortunately I have seen a fault in her character and am now having second thoughts. Bottom line here is that I don't trust her to be loyal after she gets her stay in uk were I to marry her. I'd like to hear from anyone with a similar story.
I think she is a liar I can't prove anything at mo but my gut insticts are telling me not to trust her. You got to remember these sort of girls will say and do anything to get a British passport. Does she really love me? The answer is I don't know.
If you're doubtful then don't do it - it should be that simple. Manipulation, lying for personal gain and acting in a distrustful manner are all precursors of an exhausting existence and a painful one - get out while you can. It might be fine for a little while, heck you might even get used to all the nonsense that follows a relationship without trust. If she's really good at playing you a long you might even think yourself happy, excuse the nonsense with culture, but then at some point it will hit you like a brick wall. At that point staying for another second will feel as unbearable as anything you can imagine and it will leave scars in you that you won't even know are there. If you can't trust someone then do not marry them, regardless of how much you think you care for them. Some, not all, foreign national girls pressure you into marriage by guilting you through complaining about a difficult existence, poverty, family pressure, emotional pressure, "don't you love me?" so many things. Does she do any of these things? If so she doesn't love you and you need to wake up and see that before you ruin yourself.
Love you after knowing her for such a short time. BTW my brother in law married a girl from Saint Kitts and Nevis about six years ago and he's still with her now. If something doesn't seem right like the other poster says don't go through with it. Maybe its a case of she's so stunning you cant believe you luck and looking for reasons to doubt her honesty
Thanks for that reply you are making a lot of sense. She pressured me for a key to the flat I live in after complaining I was just using her. I gave in under the strain hehehe. She is still in UK I will help her with fare to get home and keep in touch from afar. The only reason I am doing that is because her ticket was up until January but I didn't want her to go at the time especially as she got 6 months from the customs officials. It also gave me the extra time I needed to suss her out.
