Yeah this is obvious, and having done it a few times it can be a bit nervie, however I have found the guys who shout about "twatting someone" or advocating any violence are generally the guys who wouldn't do anything if they did not have a thousand of their "mates" to back them up.

Agree and wouldn't physically assault someone myself either!

That said I don't have any sympathy with the fan who did get a kicking in this case, he behaved like a tit and brought it on himself. Totally different to being attacked outside the ground.

Fair enough mate. I agree in that I have no sympathy for him as well. Just don't think violence is necessary at the football.

A bit nerve is an understatement, try being in the home end at Upton Park trying to mask a scouse accent when Cockneys all around you are trying to talk too you, my mate got found out and the stewards rushed us out sharpish. I'm no coward but that was bicycle clip time.

Why are you slating United for UEFA's rulings?

Last week the club came out and condemned the chants. I'm waiting for Liverpool to come out and do the same, but somehow I can't see it. Pretty disgraceful that.

And again, we fundamentally disagree on the extent or how many of you lot sing it. It's not one of two, there is a longer video on the net somewhere of a good 10-15 seconds of Munich which you can hear from the other side of the ground, so again be careful from up there.

This next video sums it up. 2011 cup game, Scouse escort lording it up outside. Only 1 or 2 singing though, honest. United knobhead giving it Hillsborough, but makes the very valid point that you won't sing it inside when the cameras are running. Because you are a calculated, set of knobheads who want it to look like it's all coming from United. And I'm sorry, but you can put it down to society all you want, but you can't wipe away decades of the Kop booming Munich, any red of a certain age (not me) will say, hence the "where's your famous Munich song"

Not a bad tie that. Get in! This and St Patrick's contributed to a heavy head today...

Sakho was the best player on the pitch by a mile.

JFC give over with the whataboutery. Both weeks from you there's been nothing but an attempt to point score and transfer blame onto us. Some of our fans do it too, and from both sides this is the exact reason why people still go with it and see it as acceptable, and until these type of justifications are got rid of it won't stop.

I guess at least the ones singing about Munich aren't trying to hide their utter bellendery and are just being pondlife. Would be nice if your lot could stop hiding behind excuses for those chants. We'll take the punishment for those ****s and I hope they can wise up and move on.

That's bad, but you're showing a police escort from 5 years ago amongst a 10,000 away allocation. I'm not saying Munich never happens, it does i've heard it, but very rarely in the ground and by a minority generally in my experience. I remember in 2006 FA Cup when Crouch scored there was 6,000 United fans behind the goal and the vast majority of them we're chanting "At Hillsborough you killed your own fans" throughout the game. I remember it clearly. Then the headlines after the game were about Liverpool fans rocking Smith's ambulance which never even happened.

There's pondlife on both sides, and believe me I hate Munich stuff and all this death related stupidity and childishness, but every time we play you we're subjected to the same bile throughout the game and you never get called out on it by any authority. When Munich chanting happens we'll be collared for it, and rightly so, but Hillsborough has been fair game for too long now and i'm sick of it. You don't even have to be playing us to sing all your crap. Or a youth game with a bunch of kids in the crowd and you'll turn up in numbers and do it without the slightest provocation. UEFA had the chance to do something, but, no, they wait 3 hours for our fans to shout something and charge us instead rather than both.

I don't want to wipe it out. It was terrible, but the game has moved on from the 1980s. It's 2016 ffs and it could have easily been United at Hillsborough in 1989. How a football fan can mock that tragedy is just unbelievable. I've never mocked Munich in my life and the ones that did should feel a lot of guilt for that. The ones that still do are just knucle dragging knobheads like the thousands of scum, or sheep, at Anfield last week in the away end singing their poisonous crap. F*ck them and anyone who condones them. And anyone found chanting Munich should be banned from Anfield. How about the same for United?

I hate getting involved in the tit for tat bollox that always seems to stem from these kind of threads, instead of talking about the game both sides insist on arguing about who has the ****iest element in their fan Base when the fact is anyone who uses a human tragedy as a stick to beat people with is lowlife moronic scum that deserve no attention or forum space.

Neither set of fans can take any kind of moral high ground when it comes to these kind of debates, all it does is add fuel to the fire. I have no problem with banter, take the piss out of each other, claim bragging rights, just please leave the tragedies out of it., don't take the gloss of us knocking them shit fkrs out of Europe.

    Or just close the thread.

Honestly. Great post couldn't put it better myself. Nobody can justify it from either side. In recent time we have had elements that are the worst. In different times it was reversed. Nobody can take moral high ground and shouldn't in any way defend the gobshites involved.

I'm not going to get involved with the whole back and forth debate about each set of fans. At the end of the day, when it comes to situations like this, the brush comes out and everybody gets tarred with it. I'm not interested in the whole thing, it's a handful of fans that have to take it, that step too far and gets out of hand. I understand there is a rivalry between us, but there are a handful of fans that can't keep it to banter, making jokes, and taking the piss out of each other, they have to bring in the disasters in hope to create tension and forcibly, it gets to the point showed in the past few pages. Not needed, not required and certainly not wanted. Enough from me on the matter.

Happy with the result, shakey start from ourselves, is that something I mentioned before the game started? When they got the one goal, I instantly thought, here we go, it's going to happen. Philly had other ideas, and that put the whole game to bed.

Dortmund next, not looking forward to that, one solitary bit.

I think he's calling you brave for saying you'd have no complaints or issue getting twatted under those circumstances.

Why? we are underdogs yes but if anyone knows how to beat them it's Klopp, the atmosphere alone is going to be immense both sets of fans belting out YNWA will be epic.
