LEF might be interested in hosting this one, it's a bit mafia-esque.

Doesn't look likely mate. After 5 days of waiting Joga has now picked a player that as far as I can see meets none of the categories, Shane hasn't done anything in ages, and there are still 3 more sides that haven't been completed. I say call time on this bullshit now and move onto something else.

Would you be up for a different draft while the Landmine one is going on?

That seems to be the most popular idea at the moment, but I'm definitely not interested and others might want a simpler one as well. I have some good categories in mind for SL's idea on page 1.

Why aren't you two interested? It sounds alot more complicated than it is. It's gonna be alot of fun, you'll regret it IMO.

To be fair I'm not sure PG isn't interested so I've edited my post.

Personally I'm more interested in the football aspect of these drafts than anything else. I can't be bothered with thinking of random categories and landmine players, especially when I've only got a handful of hours a day to participate. Not to say it won't be fun for those who are involved but I'd rather watch than play in this case.

I don't mind getting the Landmine Draft off the ground & handling the execution of it but I still want to play it so I'll need a couple of people (so we're not waiting around too long) happy to hold a list of the landmined players & categories etc. They'd just need to recieve PMs & put them them in a list. Just so I don't know who is landmined or what categories are coming up. If a landmined player is picked then PM me, that's all there'd be to it.

or maybe I will just run it, I dunno, but it'll be alot of work for one person.

I wouldn't have a problem helping as long as it won't be an issue that I'm only online about 4 or 5 hours a day and in a different time zone from everyone else.

In any case I think you should start the thread and lay out the rules etc. so people can start signing up.

My only worry with the 'landmine' players is that someone might get one or two early on and then lose interest.

Is this still happening or what?

I'd like to host one myself if there's enough interest.

 I know you are, I hope others will be as well.

BTW I think it'll be an International Career draft rather than SL's idea as I suggested earlier. The categories are interesting but I'm now of the opinion that it would be too similar to previous drafts.

I'll wait a couple of days and if nothing else is happening I'll just start it up and see how many people are interested.

I want to do a draft with no gimmicks that will piss people off too much. Just pick great teams and have the time frame much older (back to include the 60's)
Do it before the landmine one or people will get tired of drafts.

Maybe world cup draft but 1962 - 2014?

Not too keen on a draft going that far back if I'm honest. We'd be lacking first-hand knowledge of numerous players, and how do you organise an XI that spans over 50+ years of tactical changes?

Hot babes draft. Everyone has to pick 11 of the fittest babes for a babes XI. Then we vote on who has the best looking team. :whistle

lol the individual categories could be stuff like which team collectively has the best racks, arses, faces etc
