I post to Instagram but overall feel the creativity with it gets a little limited after a while. It has the social network element tied in but there are far more powerful mobile editing apps including Snapseed, Dynamic Light, PhotoForge2, NIR Colour and Filterstorm which are well worth a go. I'd rather tweak the image on one of those manually then open and post via Instagram instead. The whole 'iphoneography' / 'digital editing' approach can sometimes get a bit of a raw deal from some who use more traditional SLR / DSLRs - personally I'm a fan of experimenting with both.
exactly what i do - are the other apps you talked about free or are the pay apps?? do you have an instagram username so i can check them out??
Whether you sue Instagram or not, it doesn't matter as long as the photo looks good to you. Many times an effect makes a dull photo look amazing and many times a great photo is ruined by effects. Vinyljunkie, i think your photos are great! I prefer the photos without the Instagram but that doesn't mean i dislike the ones that do.
took this on my phone, lost a lot of quality when I put it on facebook but you get the jist of it was cleaning my car and it came and landed inside it!
That's still really good for a phone shot. I went to Sheffield FC last Saturday, via Chesterfield. I shot half a roll of film, but I was pretty worse for wear and I have no real memory of what I took. I'll post any decent ones up when I get the prints back
Went to Birdworld the other day. Saw some birds. Took some pictures. Here's some cool ones. Shame about the fence.
Top photos, especially the last two. The colours in the third one and the detail around the cockatoo's eye are great.
Yeah, not bad for your first shoots - I agree with Speakers about the angles on the first and last ones. That bridge scares the shit out of me, it's a monstrosity
I go past it most days and it still amazes me. It's not until you see the tiny dots of lights on it as a train goes past on it that you realise the sheer size of it - it's f***ing massive!!! Here's a couple of today's shots. The first one is where I got married, nearly 2 years ago.
I like the church one, but the lamppost ruins the bottom one I think. Where's the bridge? There was one in our paper from Fife that looked just like it.
The bridge is Forth Bridge, which links Fife with Edinburgh. The railway bridge is know as either Forth Bridge whilst the road one gets known as the Forth Road Bridge (FRB). The bridge in the photo is never called Forth Rail Bridge. So there you go... In my opinion, one of the best bridges in the world.
Nice TLC. What camera did you use? Seeing as though we're on an animal like theme here. Sorry if it's too big

Sony alpha 200 with a 70-300 lens on full zoom aperture priority setting on about 4.2 I think Real luckless out shot on the original the zoom is amazing with the eyes and whatever it had crawling on its nose
Some photos from a 3 day Kayaking trip we took earlier this month on Georgian Bay. These were all taken on a Canon 60D and just the kit 18-200 lens.
