God I hadn't even thought of him briefing the press on things. I'd totally forgotten about that what an utter shambles it will be.

I still can't get over how the soon to be most powerful man in the world takes to Twitter to moan about things like he's so hard done-by  poor little Donald.

Ummmm... things you would say to an incredibly gullible coworker who "breaks news" of celebrity deaths every 15 minutes because she saw it on Twitter.

    Did I win?

I did see it, more than once. And it was an embarrassing shambles from start to finish. Hopefully your system will contain him for his likely 1 term so he can't do too much damage

I hope he doesn't get impeached or whatever too soon as this is a good laugh. He's off his rocker.

When Bush f*cked the country up it wasn't really funny. There's humour involved here.

If Trump goes you'd just get another Reagan/Bush administration. Neo-con, war mongering chronyism with policies set for the super rich and f*ck everyone else. JFK's assassination didn't stop the civil rights movement, it accelerated it, so why would liberals think it's a good idea to get a bigger Republican president with a Republican controlled congress?

A Trump administration might be the same reality, and more or less will be, but we get the laughs to go with it.

Can I just repeat, not many think that, nor think that assassinating Trump is a 'good' idea.

I hear a lot of it here, not about assassination, but liberally minded people who hope he gets impeached or just loses the presidency as if that'd mean Hillary, Bernie Sanders or whoever would be president. If Trump goes then it's even more of a right-wing Republican government with probably the full backing of congress.

I still can't actually believe that in a few days time Donald Trump walks into the White House as President of the USA. With access to the nuclear codes and all the power and influence that comes with it. Just unbelievable how this was able to happen.

Whilst I'm in total agreement with everyone that says that an assassination on Donald Trump would be a disaster, it would be highly ironic if a man who's a leading figure in the gun lobby was to be assassinated because of exactly the kind of easy access gun culture that he and his ilk advocate. I'm sure the solution to it would be more guns though....

Impeachment is certainly something that people have been throwing around. I still don't buy it. Have him make a farce of himself and drag the republicans who support him with him and really fight for the midterms and gain back the majority, then the presidency after.

That's why it could be better for the Dems that Trump beat the risible Hillary, otherwise it'd be the Republicans waiting in the wings in 4-8 years after another elitist government and president and then they'd be free to do their worst. A bit like 2010 here after three terms of New Labour. 12 years tends to be the maximum Democrats or Republicans get before it switches back and it's more likely 1 or 2 terms than 3.

It's the swing states that count and they tend to go the other way every 4-8 years unless the other party are completely unelectable. The idea was the Republicans were unelectable but the celebrity of Trump and the widely despised Hillary gave them the keys back to the Oval Office.

Yeah the best thing that could happen right now is a full term for Trump - and his legacy being a half built, already crumbling wall that the US has entirely paid for. Anything less and you risk a repeat or worse in the future. Without wanting to sound a dick, the electorate needs to be taught a lesson and/or needs to get this out of their system.

Hey Adam, how about you give the multi-billionaire, born into money, TV celebrity, future President of the US a break? It's a tough life he leads.

He is the most thin skinned, snowflake the world has ever seen though. It's utterly bizarre he's about to become president.

Agreed. I'm on record that Hillary was never my first (or second) choice, so that's the silver lining of a Trump win.

One way to build immunity to a virus is to go through the sickness, I guess.

We literally just saw an American President try and intimidate the press into submission and muzzle their freedom of speech on live television, while hosting a rally disguised as a press conference, with his supporters booing and jeering anything critical of him. Banana republic style.

An American President. The leader of the longest running democracy that's still more or less intact.

Just to be clear I didn't say I hope he'll get assassinated, I said I honestly believe he'll get bumped off.
