Rumour here has it Ladapo is going to Charlton. Who knows. Only if we manage to bring others in however.
Took my Mum to the Supermarket this morning in her favourite thick coat with a big Number 9 on the back , took her back home & lo & behold Charlton had put a bid in for her If Ladapo comes off , that'll be a good signing , the Port Vale bloke is similar to Big Chuks . Charlton throwing the money about , if they carry on doing this over next 18 months without success with their new(ish) owners could be the next ex Premier League club to fall foul FFP etc...
But 6 months ago you didn't want him and basically farmed him out on loan to a rival club in Swindon. Strikers are becoming over priced now anyway no wonder alot of clubs just go to prem clubs to loan young lads. The fact that Bradford since recalling him haven't played him makes me think they want to sell him as if you played him he would have appeared for 2 clubs this season then in Swindon and Bradford therefore couldn't sign for another team
That's the whole idea of sending someone on loan to another club if they're not getting a look in at your club so as potentially increase their resale value if they do well & or give players getting game time in the current squad in there position a kick up the arse to perform better or else lose their place to the loanee if they come back .
His only goal of the season, however seems like transfer isn't happening anyway. In better news fur us.
Mark Hughes didn't want him*. Like you say the reason he hasn't played is because if he does, we can't sell him this window. It makes sense for everybody he sits out until Feb to see if we get a suitable bid. If we don't he will play, hopefully continue scoring goals and boost his price tag even higher. If he can score goals in this dogshit team he will certainly be able to do it for a high end L1 club. I wish the club would just be honest though. Absolutely nobody believes he has a "knock" which is what we are going with. He played every game for Swindon ffs
Is anyone expecting a busy final transfer day on Thursday ? Not the best time of year for a buying club , tend to over spend with desperation as the clock ticks down & if you sign too many can take time to gel & upset the dressing room . Here's hoping PE2 is quiet & if any of our gems are sold they come back on loan for season & I wonder if JCH goes , nar , I doubt it .
Expecting blues, to go after Sam Tickle, and Cameron Brannagan, from league one and Langstaff, from league two.
Word on the Shrewsbury High Street is that Blues are in talks with Daniel Udoh. Talks have been ongoing with the "If we go down our people will talk to your people" I take it we're talking..
