If we can shift one or two out, were getting Cian Hayes on loan from Fleetwood

He previously impressed in a short stint with Rochdale earlier this season

 

Best player I’ve seen us come up against so far this season.

 

Rumour has it Bristol Rovers are interested in Danny ormerod from us. He’s either 17 or 18. Only come through the academy a few months ago. Scored 3 for us I think

 

Rumour I’ve heard is Jack Jenkins signing from Leeds. Any good Scunthorpe fans?

 

Looked alright but didn't really play enough to give you a full opinion.

Two of our best players are CM's so he couldn't get in unfortunately

 

We're apparently in for Sutton's CM Craig Clay.

 

Came through the youth team with us, he's had a pretty good career since then. Not many can say that!

As stated,Shelton was a major influence in getting us promoted & stepped up to league 2 no problem.
Was disappointed when he left.
Good engine on him & pops up in the box to get a few goals.
He'll do OK for you & wish him all the best.

 

He's been a massive disappointment.
Usually crocked & when he does play,he so slow,he makes Feath look like Linford Christie.
Never plays the ball forward, so you can't have him & Feath play together,I'd get rid as soon as we could.

 

Agree with that 100%, big let down, featured 30 times for a L2 playoff team last season somehow.

 

Thought he was too limited for L2 and struggled there

Down here he is fine if you have ball players alongside him.

 

Yeah I thought he'd be a good signing but he's shown nothing at all really.

Clay has good pedigree and has won promotion two or three times from this league so on the face of it not a bad move.

Nope. Millington just confirmed they are signing in the next 24 hours and it’s not Shelton despite him being a player he admires.

 

I don't get it. He's clearly available. Talented at the level. What's the betting the player we sign is someone who might be ready to play foe us in 2 sessons time. The most bizarre transfer policy in football

 

Good player and great bloke too, we had a chat with him on the way to Southport while he was waiting to be picked up by the Town coach at services and he’s one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met.

 

Alli off to Exeter it would appear. Any small chance we had of the playoffs gone if this is true.

 

They've got a lot of work to do with him. Very raw talent. Not interested where his teammates are most of the time. But by far the best attacker we have. As you said we are done for the season if he goes
