Certainly on the downhill trajectory, unattached since the end of last season, recent spell at a tinpotter like FGR, now training with a National League side. Still think it's someone else but he'd be good competition for Mani D.
I really liked Akinola. Really well educated at ball retention as you'd expect from an Arsenal academy player. Almost never gives the ball away. Can beat a man and drive forward if he has a mind to. He won't get goals, he's not that type, just sprays it about nicely. I think he'd be a good signing
I liked Akinola too, very easy on the eye. It was his lack of actual output that did for him. A bit like me at work lol
It was Akinola, was offered a deal but gone to the Czech Republic to play, just when we needed a new CM.
Hearing we could re-sign Junior Morais on loan for the rest of the season, deal could have been done earlier but has had to wait for his Mrs to give birth.
Makes sense, just hasn’t worked for him here. Partly because it’s a thankless task waiting for your chance as Langstaff’s back up, but also because he seemingly hasn’t been able to go more than one sub appearance without getting injured again.
Junior Morais heading your way, can’t commit to us with a newborn full time so part time suits him and it’s a nice pat on the back for stealing your manager. We’ve signed some kid from Middlesbrough.
Manny Duku leaves us to join Wealdstone. Not much of a loss in my opinion, he didn't look overly great and Mo Faal & Matt Rush are better options up front
Try not to worry too much @Aberstone, you might not be signing Manny Duku - maybe your chairman telling someone what bus to catch?
The 2 signings for Wealdstone is worrying for their relegation battle as Griffiths has only been playing Essex Sunday League and Duku who could barely get into the Maidstone starting lineup.
