Ultimately the problem is the usage of terms like "special" and "world class" and "super star". It's ultimately all subjective. If you are talking generational talent then I'd say there's only a handful in the current senior squad right now anyway. Because that level of talent is supposed to be rare. I'd argue being a special talent means you are playing at the highest level, and many in that winning squad will have careers at top half PL sides and in some cases already play a role for clubs playing European football. If that isn't special then whatever, maybe lower your expectations and you might enjoy it more. And as I said earlier, a good number in that squad will go on to play at a senior level - which is all you can hope for with the development squads.
We’ll see - last time England won this albeit some time ago only about 3 players went on to have any sort of England career but times as different and young players do get more of a chance .
True they are all special talents compared to the average footballers to have made it this far in their careers but you knew what I meant. Basically a couple of standout special players from the 22 playing. Like the likes of messi, Ronaldo, kaka or foden in their youth teams
I cannot believe you just named two players widely considered the best of all time. As I said, you need to lower your expectations.
It's way different now. The standard of football and coaching at younger levels has improved so much. These players play with an intelligence now, to go along with their physical ability. That will only serve them well in order to make the necessary step ups. End of the day your chance for the senior side are also enhanced by your club career. Many of these players are already involved at top PL clubs.
It doesn't matter who I mention though it's just to make the point that they were the special players on a field of good players. Not at 21 level so it doesn't matter. But I see Figo and pirlo played at that level and I'm sure they stood out. Basically nobody stood out the other night and looked better and more special than the rest. I'd say Anthony Gordon would be the most high profile player there but he doesn't really give vibes of a special player anyway. If he did he'd be closer to the senior side I suppose
Yes it does when the players you are using as a yardstick are two absolute freaks of nature you bellend.
Well I mentioned others didn't I you knob jockey. But they all shone at a lower age group so it's not relevant anyway. Look no one stood out the other night and that's basically all my comment was about so leave it at that
