Well done Liverpool. Fantastic showing from you lot in the Europa this season.

Regardless of what some might say, you've had a very tough run. United, Dortmund, Villarreal and now Sevilla in the final?

I must admit, when you drew Dortmund, the bitter side of me was hoping they'd knock you out so it wouldn't just be us that they absolutely rinsed this season.

That said, I'm now firmly onboard your hype train and really hope you do it. It's about ****ing time a team from England took this competition really seriously. Good luck chaps.

That was a bit good like.

Emre Can is unbelievable, comes back early off an injury and puts in that performance. Has he been at Sakho's medicine cabinet?!

Lovren, Firmino & Kolo were also excellent, as was Sturridge. Not a single poor performance though.

Villarreal looked rattled from the first minute, we outclassed them. Soldado was a joke, Denis Suarez was a right chippy little prick and they should have gone into the book more.

I've also not seen a replay of it but it looked like we should have had a stonewall penalty? Lovren's shirt was getting pulled basically over his head from a corner right in front of us and right in front of that pointless twerp of an extra official.

Brilliant recovery, to not only play but play like that! I think he must built up such a good level of fitness over the season that it made it easier for him to come straight back in when his injury cleared up. He's had some shit performances at times but he's become a key player.

Small margins. Lose the final and it's been a waste of a season.

Hope you win it of course but by no means an easy final. People might look at their league position but Sevilla could do the same of Liverpool. Any team getting to 3 consecutive finals are no mugs.

Good result, but after last week it was always going to happen imo.

I think you will be too strong for Sevilla. I think they would have done better in a 2-leg tie, as they are strong at home, but not quite as threatening on the road.

    3-1 Liverpool

I'd make them slight favourites if anything.

    Completely agree.

It will make or break Liverpool's season.

There's nothing to be embarrassed about getting a prediction wrong or for thinking that Seville will win the Europa. But you specifically said that we will NOT win the competition suggesting that we have absolutely no chance or possibility of winning. And you said it after the Dortmund game as well and i thought that was a pretty bold thing to say. We might not beat Seville but we have a chance and we have a good chance at that. I think it's daft to completely write either team off when anyone can win it now.

That's the problem with it, at least for a club with big expectations. Take it seriously and you have to win it.

With respect to the likes of Fulham and Middlesbrough, just getting to a final was a once-in-a-lifetime achievement. We need to go and win it to make it worthwhile. Without all the European distractions we'd still be in the mix for top 4 IMO. The other week we were right on the coat tails of United but pretty much jacked the league in to give us a better chance in Europe (as we did in 2005).

We put a lot of effort into the league cup as well only to lose the final on pens, so that was all for nothing. Need to put that right and win something.

No reason why 3 or 4 stadiums couldn't be shortlisted and the most appropriate used.

Shame for fans who have supported the clubs through the competition and who won't be able to go.
